As a female living in North Carolina, I am so grateful that Governor Cooper made this sacrifice to protect the women in this state from the lunatic Mark Robinson. He’s made horrible comments in churches about time for “killin’ to start” and he is a violent person and he is not a Christian in any way with his venom he spews. Thank you for your sacrifice Governor Cooper.

Mark Robinson has such a low opinion of women. So what was the story behind his wife's abortion 30 years ago? Could it be (just speculating, no "claims") that she found him so repulsive that she took a lover and got pregnant by that man, and Mark wasn't about to be raising some other man's child? To forestall replies defending the hideous monster, saying, "Maybe it was an ectopic pregnancy and she needed the abortion to save her life"--let me explain further: If that were the case 30 years ago, that his wife had an ectopic pregnancy or other complication threatening her life, then Mark Robinson should have had much more sympathy over the last 30 years for other women who needed abortions in similar circumstances, but you heard him. That was in 2019 he said "Abortion in this country is not about protecting the lives of mothers. It's about killing the child because you weren't responsible enough to keep your skirt down." He thinks women seeking abortions are promiscuous. And in 2020 he supported a 6-week abortion ban saying, "for me, there is no compromise on abortion." He has NEVER cared about the lives of women, he has stated he thinks women should not have the right to vote. So don't try to defend Mark Robinson. He's far worse than Trump.

You are one of those rare politicians who sacrifice personal political ambition in the name of personal responsibility. I am sure you make North Carolinians proud Governor Cooper. The nation needs more like you.

I am a 63 yo female living in NC and appreciate Governor Roy Cooper putting our state first. Robinson is a scary person! I would hate to see the laws that the women who came before me fought so hard pass just be thrown out of law. Thank you Roy Cooper for being an awesome human being!
