This documentary is done from a labour of love for The Stones. I am by no means declaring my self any expert or know it all, 100% not. I just love The Stones just like you.
This documentary by no means declared as a professional delivery. It is done with simple IPhone and IMovie. A DIY project.
I am just compiling these details for fans that may NOT know about this timeframe. Also, to prove how great the STONES are and why this album is pure genius.
There are so many doubters of The Stones, and felt there was a need to put this out for us and future fans. From a fan for the fan. I sincerely hope you get something out of this and enjoy it!
Feel free to leave comments and let me know.
If there are any impolite/nasty/non-productive comments you will be removed from this channel immediately. I have zero tolerance! For the 2% dislikers that usually have nothing else better to do but complain AND never contributed to anything, I think you miss the point and will never understand!

I recently bought the El Mocambo vinyl set based on one of your videos. I hope nobody gives you flack for these vids using footage or using stones music. You’re basically providing them free advertising, and it’s a win win! Because the El Mocambo vinyl is perhaps my favorite record I own at the moment. Thanks to you! You’re a legend for these, so well done ✌️❤️
  • Dance pt 2 has been one of my favorite stones tunes since the early 80s.
  • Agree about Send It To Me — love that song. Insanely underrated. Funny, catchy-clever, joyous.
  • Charlie Watts' right foot on that demo of "Summer Romance"??!!! Ya know what? I ain't surprised!
  • I was 7 or 8 when I first remember being impacted by the stones and some girls to tattoo you along with hot rocks were the first albums I was exposed to I love this period, I think basically people miss the fact that the Stones roots is black music, and in the 70s that extended to reggae , funk and disco, I love it! Thanks for these documentaries

Thank you FlipSide CT, keeping us reminded what a corker of an album Emotional Rescue is, as I say " there's eating and drinking in this". Bless you and good health in 2023👏💎👍

“She’s So Cold” is a great rock and roller. The whole point of the song is the roll, the groove. It’s a fun dance tune.
  • What an amazing journey you have offered us with this trilogy on Emotional Rescue. Thank you.

I am a life long stones fan since 65. Through your excellent documentaries, I have gained an even greater appreciation for their music. Thank you.
  • This superb set of 3 videos is in itself an "emotional rescue" of part of the soundtrack my long-lost undergraduate years.
  • Man, you got me back into the Stones big time! I started eatching your documentaries and videos a coupla years ago and now my Stones vinyl, cd, and dvd collection has grown! They',re the coolest rock and roll band of all time, and I just wanted to say you are awesome Mr. Flipside CT.
  • Seriously thought I was hallucinating when you mentioned new bomb turks. I've lived in Columbus since 1996 and have seen the turks several times. My band currently practices in their old space which they still use from time to time. Your videos are incredible man, I get so excited when I see a new one uploaded and now your talking about some hometown heroes. Kick ass
  • one of my all time favorite stones and I have been grooving since 5yrs old in 65 this is classic for me
  • This was great. I always discounted Emotional Rescue. I used this documentary as a way to relisten and I'm glad I did. It's not Some Girls, but it definitely deserved a second shot with me. My earliest memories involve hearing the song Emotional Rescue playing on my dad's reel to reel. Who knew that would be my jumping off point. I bought the CD many years ago, but it fell to the back of the stack. The relisten made me appreciate Down in a Hole, Summer Romance, Where the Boys Go and Let Me Go. She's So Cold was always a favorite, and I would wager that it's my wife's favorite Stones song (she's not a big fan, but all marriages have their challenges). Thanks again for the work and time you put in for these.

Just finished off the trio of the Emotional Rescue documentaries. You really bring music history back to life! I find the discussion of the music tracks fascinating. Your doc really has given me a more positive view of the ER LP. My favorite tracks include “Dance,” “She’s So Cold,” and “Let Me Go.” I’ve currently got the first two on a workout playlist, and will be adding the third shortly. I enjoyed hearing your story of going to the Soldier Field concert for the Stones’ Babylon tour, without a ticket in hand. I have a bit of a similar story when I went to see them on their Steel Wheels 1989 tour at Carter-Finley stadium in Raleigh NC. Like you, I had no ticket for the concert. As I was tooling down the highway in my 1967 VW convertible at the time, I had placed a large “ STONES CONCERT TICKET WANTED” sign in my back window, in the hopes another concertgoer would see it. As luck would have it, I did score a ticket for not too hefty a price ($75 back then?) and managed to see them perform. I also bought a tour T-shirt as a memento. Good times!

Yeah!!! Been waiting on this. Don't forget to cover the Between the Buttons/ Their satanic majesty's request and sounding single's era.
  • Just love all your videos but I loved this video even more because no one ever talks about this album and your background history is so great..Being 56 in the old days our only way of seeing anything was Midnight Special or reading in Rolling Stone or NME etc.. You obviously have done a lot of work to do this and I appreciate this! I was searching for your Exile on Main Street but can't find it..Have you done this because I know you love this era...Anyway I agree with what you say about Mick..I have been watching the latest Stones tour shows on You Tube and so impressed with Mick Jagger ruling the stage and sounding really awesome at 79!! Quite incredible.

Let me go, my favorite stone song on this album! It's a great rocker...underrated as you say!!!!
