  • Rollback. You never shy away from a challenge, now is not the time to wimp out.
  • @woodstk70
Rollback, you can't change plans now, so keep going with the rollback.
  • @jacksonms212
Make the frame longer and use the roll back but don't cut it extend the frame a little and roll with it .
  • @StevesDIYGarage
I agree with full length roll back and move the axle back. More work but worth it. You will be glad you did.
  • @bobbyvigil7455
You absolutely need to make it a rollback.. Youve been talking about it for ever and have never failed when things are hard. You are FABRATS. To many waiting to see this completed.
  • @vipermandan
Rollback for sure, it'll just take some extra time. You can figure it out!
  • @iancirino122
I'd extend the frame and leave the bed length so you can use it for anything. May even go dually or super singles gonna need sway bars
  • @TheShop10
Cut the frame in front of axle and extend with box tubing. Build new driveshaft. Keep the whole rollback bed. You're going to need it on those recoveries.
  • @DerekGraham777
Well for the rat back i see that look your thinking that frame is to short paul if i were you id extend the frame by 3ish feet and put Duallys on i know that will be a ton of work but you'll be alot happier in the end. Just food for thought.
  • @dtnicholls1
Roll back will be more work now for sure, but you'll be glad you did it when the time comes to use it.
  • @petersgrayson
Extend, add rear axle, and make it 6x6 with lockers. Yes its a bigger project, but it will be cooler and more functional in end. Could add rear steer axle if you want to keep turning circle same. Dual rear steer? That be cool 😎.
  • @bencoolbear3214
I say roll back. You guys are dedicated to making things work. I am confident that you can figure out. If you make it static, there will come a day where you wish you had made it a roll back
  • @petehodgo
Hi Paul and Crew, I think the rollback would look great with some flares over the front wheels, to help stop the mud going all over the windscreen,, for what it worth.. by the way Great to watch you guys.
  • @phantom714
Paul @FabRats I have been looking forward to this build since you first told us your plans for the off road rollback and became skeptical as the build progressed but after seeing it with that bed on it I feel like your gonna' have to stretch that frame at least 3 1/2 feet whether you shorten the bed or not. I just can't see that truck safely hauling the FJ down the road with that much overhang, I believe you'll have a hard time keeping the steer tires planted firmly with that much weight behind the rear axle. I absolutely love the concept and have thoroughly enjoyed watching the build! Looking forward to the finished product! Thanks for takin' us along for the ride, I haven't missed a Fab Rats episode yet! You guys are awesome, keep it up!!!
  • @kencrouch668
Roll Back- if you need to get Razors or smaller ATVs out you can use the roll back. Plus - keeping with the trend of Skid Steers and off road recovery (Robby Layton and Diesel Dave ) have off road recovery skid steers- you will have a roll back to haul the skid steer!
  • @gfhunter5
I like the idea of the rollback vs a static bed. You can make it happen.
  • Rollback for the win. A longer frame and bed would be useful too, it will be more work but will make the truck more versatile, who knows what other uses you may have for it in the future…
