Who else wants a Q&A about Bailey's tattoos??
  • @jezelledalwampu20
Hello Bailey! Here in the Philippines, we have a 106 year old tattoo artist named Apo Whang Od. In our country, there's a tribe that believes that tattoos were a sign of bravery for men and beauty for women. They put tattoos for each war they fought into. You better check her out.
  • Speaking as a female tattoo artist, this episode is the absolute best to me. I feel privileged and honored to be able to be a part of such an ancient trade - especially as a woman. 🖤

I’m native Canadian, and a childhood friends cousin is a tattoo apprentice. She does traditional designs for natives only and specific tribal symbols for our tribe. I’m In love with the traditional tattoo she gave me, and it makes me proud. I’m very much white passing but this tattoo is a visual sign to everyone that I am not ashamed of my culture and nothing can stop me from celebrating it. We’ve been through so much and our culture criminalized.

"Ladies and Germs" had me in a different kind of satisfaction. Love Bailey. ✨💅

I'm Māori from New Zealand. It's cool to see that Native American culture is similar to ours, in the way that faces were tattooed according to status, tribal affiliation, deception and mana (or spirit). Many men and woman still wear them today as a symbol of our heritage and to keep our traditions going. Thanks for this episode Bailey, it was cool to learn about other interpretations of the art <33

We will all be blindsided by some unexpected hurt or pain in life, but Tattoos are the scars we get to choose for ourselves.
  • @Ritual.healing
I am a tattoo artist that uses ancient traditions to use tattoos as medicine. I love that you did a story on this!

  • @alexw.7097
Does anyone else suddenly feel like they want to go out and get more tattoo work done? 😅
  • @kimmccracken5519
Anyone else want Bailey to do a video on all of her tattoos? And if there is meaning behind them? I always love when I notice one that I didn’t notice before!
  • @famminak852
11:45 Bailey’s beeps and followed by the laugh after is such a mood 😂😂
  • I live in Japan so I’m so happy you went into the Japanese tattooing history!! I wish you’d touched on the traditional tattoos of the Ainu and Ryukyuan people and how banning tattooing was part of Wajin Japanese efforts to destroy their traditional cultures but there was so much else to cover in this video so I totally get that there wasn’t enough time!
  • @itsaurorose
Bailey makeup in this video is so snatched it could be a filter. The blending? The drama? The brows? I'm obsessed with ittttt! Pls give us this look during a MMM so I can learn!!!!

“We need to know what your tattoos are so it’s easier to identify your body” is something I’ve heard from my dad on many occasions.
