The electric bike 4.0 is working!!! It sure is fun to ride with the crazy torque of the 'geared' down motor! Just got a few things left to add, such as an extra pulley guard and the regenerative braking thumb control.

How to add the 'on screen display' data.
You will need the following:
- VESC speed controller: goo.gl/dcz723
- Bluetooth module for the VESC: goo.gl/nEqHLB
- Android phone
- Helmet camera (such as a gopro)

Then follow these instructions to connect your phone to the VESC:
goo.gl/iZs4Qc

Then follow these instructions to get the data overlay onto the video: goo.gl/wChFsE

DISCLAIMER: The VESC6 was supplied to me from Trampaboards, however it was not a paid endorsement. It was supplied to me for review purposes.

  • I've just realised it may seem like I wasn't wearing a helmet, but it turns out the GoPro is mounted to the helmet and therefore I had to briefly remove it to check the GoPro battery! Thanks

Think that is the best ebike build I ever seen. Clean, cool and clever!
  • @rustjupiter
Tom I have to say that your ebike videos have helped me more than any other set of ebike videos. You're version is closest to what I want to build and your insight and tips are outrageously helpful. Cheers to you mate.

I have to say, I'm extremely impressed, you've articulated your adventure beautifully. I really appreciate how you're open to disclosing problems & your thought processes to fix them. All the very best to you (from Australia) young man, you're a champion. 👍

    Absolutely wonderful presentation! Great job!
  • @Gribbo9999
Thanks for km/h Tom. I know it was as mistake but much more comprehensible for most of us cyclists (global perspective). Keep it that way! That's a real machine well done!
  • @seavee2000
Brilliant. I want one. With only one leg that works I can see the benefits of an e-bike....especially one as well engineered and thought out as this.
  • @ldmcnutt

Foooooookin hell! That is amazing. I built a 1000w hub fastest I've had is 56kph going down hill and it felt like 100kph. This is next level. Love it! Your acceleration is scary
