I have tons of WGU related content. Join the WGU tribe :)

I refer to my "pre-gaming" strategies in this video. My program, the Master of Science (MSc) in Curriculum and Instruction, was comprised of performance assessments (PAs or papers) primarily. Nearly 30 papers were completed in the 5.5 months it took me to complete the full program. I also refer to YouTuber Josh Madakor.

Here are his two videos worth checking out:

I just randomly found this. I hovered over your thumbnail and saw my face and got super confused lmao 😂😂. Great video, and thanks for the shoutout!
  • I just want to thank you for taking the time to make these videos. I have used your strategies in my first term and completed my first term in about 7 weeks and tackling my 2nd. I am not moving as fast as you but i am completing about a class every 10 days. While working 60 plus hours a week. Thank you for your amazing advice!
  • Dude, thank you. I was on the fence about WGU but you motivated me to enroll last week.

"Back in the day" = less than a year ago... hahaha Thanks for sharing. I'm looking into WGU and doing a lot of research to get prepared.

Josh Madakor is definitely a phenomenal resource for WGU-related info, especially with IT degrees. Very informative video, Justin👍
  • Hey Justin, you DO have access to pre-assessments prior to the start date. This makes it much easier to "pregame". I did watch Josh's videos prior to my start date of 2/1 and have completed first 12 classes in 13 days while working full-time. Great work by Josh and yourself to help the next line of students!
  • Here I am replying on another video of yours. This video is amazing and helpful! Since you have a small audience, I will keep asking Q and commenting then 😄
  • I REALLY appreciate your videos! Thank you so much! My brain thinks like your brain, so having a quick video to hear your strategies makes my efficiency skyrocket! I am starting the MSc in Curriculum and Instruction on May 1st, 2021. Three questions: #1 - What text books are used for the MSc C & I program? #2 - Will I have to use my kindergarten students to implement/complete my Capstone project? The reason I ask this is because school starts Sept. 2nd and my plan is to finish by August 31st. #3 - How long does it take for WGU to send an official electronic transcript to the employer (from the time I click the "finish" button on the entire program to my school district now has my official transcript and can move me up on the pay schedule)?

After spending over 30k for a diploma, I'm really considering WGU but I just worried about credits being able to transfer to other universities in Canada in the future. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I graduated one year one month one day one minut and one moment! What a clever I am

Studying for my first 2 terms rn. 1 class in term 4 I've heard a certain class is insanely hard and I'm lightly studying that.
  • Hey ! A question I have is how many tasks on average would you say I need to complete each week to graduate within one year ? I was told by my mentor to not read the material and go straight to the tasks. Is this what you did?
  • @DeWayneWillingham
@lifebyjustin as it relates to research papers for the Masters degree, what’s required MLA or APA style?
  • @TheMadameLabrie
Tip: course hero. You can see what the papers are going to be about
  • @KennedieDavis
Is it possible that you could share an "outline" of how you set up your pre-game paper the night before writing it? Or possibly just do a bit more in-depth description of how you like to do it?
  • Are the pre assessments the exact same questions as the real assessment?
  • So what shall I say to all of this now as I'm finishing my 3rd year at WGU? I can't go back in time!
  • Hey man, I love your videos. I'm Canadian as well. I currently live in China and tried to set up a phone call with WGU with an Enrollment Councelor, but they could not reach me as Im currently living in China. I am hoping to do the elementary education program, but they are being very unhelpful. Do you have a contact that I would be able to email? since phone calls seem to be impossible from here. thanks, and appreciate any help.
  • @madsishot
do you know whereabouts in Canada WGU accepts students from?
