It’s kind of nuts that Djokovic can play like he has been for the past 5 months and still be top seed at a grand slam. Realistically he’s a top 20 player at the moment.

Struff is definitely the most dangerous out of unneeded. I would also add Draper, Arnaldi, and even Giron. Of course, nobody wants to play Rafa!

Assuming Sinner plays RG, Zverev’s Rome win is a blessing for Alcaraz. He’s proven to be a bit of a bracket demon for Alcaraz, and as the 3 and 4 seeds, they’re guaranteed to be on opposite halves. Had he remained the 5 seed, they could have met in the quarterfinals.

I really hope Rublev can actually finally make a semifinal run. I don’t know which section of the draw would be the best for him. Maybe Sinner if he actually plays. Djokovic and Zverev would be a nightmare for him and Alcaraz would be rough too. Unless they lose beforehand

Last year, the dangerous players turned out to be Ofner, Sonego, Varillas, Nishioka and Etcheverry (all reached R4). That was such an usual bunch so who knows who will step up this year.

It is beyond me why someone who has not won a tournament in 2024 is somehow getting the 1 seed. It’s just horrible tournament planning, and overall unfair to the OBJECTIVELY better players. You can not argue that Djokovic is playing better than sinner or Medvedev and a couple more.
