A small tip if you don't want the thread to be noticeably visible on top, rather than running or backstich use a catch stich or cross catch stitch. It works very well and looks very neat. A little time consuming though. Can be use on any hem pants, arms neck etc.

Thank you for this video! I used to hem my pants and alter them myself, when I was younger. I had to relearn bc I’m trying to teach my daughters to do the same to save their pants from dragging on the ground. So I appreciate this so much! Thank you!!!

You're adorable! I'm an old short girl, so I've been dealing with this for 62 years! I've been buying stuff from Shein for about 8 months now and EVERY pair of pants is waay too long! I'm not going through the hassle of returning, so I need to undertake a mass hemming event. I'm planning to use iron-on hem tape, as I'll never get around to actually sewing 8 pairs of pants, thanks for making it look so easy, tho'!
