This Soup is great for providing vitamins, minerals, protein and fiber. Because of the the type of spices used(tumeric, a little bit of nutmeg, garlic, onion and parsley) it is wonderful for boosting the immune system. The potatoes, parsley, spinach, cabbage and pepper also help with High Blood Pressure and Type 2 Diabetes.

  • I tend to rinse everything (meat, fruit, veggies) in a mix of white vinegar and water to get rid of any residues without messing with the food itself. I love your videos, and I deeply appreciate them. Thank you and God bless.

Great soup recipe! Have you ever considered sautéing the potatoes, carrots, onions and garlic with some olive oil for a few minutes before adding to the broth? It adds a great flavor to the soup as well as some"good fats" from the olive oil.

Thumbs up to washing all food...even cans since the lid usually falls into the can when opening. I wish everyone did this. It makes it hard to eat anyplace but home to think about it, lol!
  • Just made this delicious soup! THANK YOU! I'm actually nursing myself back to health!

WONDERFUL LOOKING SOUP, I COULD ALMOST SMELL IT...THANKS FOR THE GREAT RECIPES AND FOOD FACTS...
  • Hi Carli, I make Jewish chicken soup for our holidays. Much different but what I was taught. Then I float my matzoh balls that I make separately because if cooked in the soup it takes take away the clearness of the broth. I will make this. I am a retired RN so enjoyed your soup's health benefits . Never saw a soup like this. I have an ileostomy so vitamins and minerals are very necessary as somewhat leached out of the ileum in the small intestine. They have us using Pediolite, Ensure, and V-8 and also make a rehydrating drink. I have to eat only very soft veggies and foods. I would have to take all the skins off the potatoes. When the soup is cold I can do that as not loose the benefit of the skin's nutrients. I will puree the soup when cold to easily go through the ileostomy stoma. I plan to freezing the puree in serving portions and shall be able to have it for a long time. Carli, thank you so much for your clear visuals and instructions.

I wash everything, even lettuce, cabbage etc...anything that insect larvae could be on. Just good kitchen common sense and some people don't have that.
  • Cool soup, Ms. Carli, you rock, thanks for sharing this soup recipe. I like it when you explain everything, it helps me remember why it's done.
  • I get so relaxed watching you cook. You give so much good information. At the age of 70 I am learning about organic and such. I grew up on a farm and we ate what we grew..I want to get my own chickens that I will feed organic. Really like your video.
