Watching this again after so many years, I wept for what we've lost. There will never be another Gary Richrath. There will never be another time like this. So Special.

You folks who love this I would highly recommend REO's album "LIVE: YOU GET WHAT YOU PLAY FOR", their incredible 1977 live record. It was of course released before they really hit the big time but it is an outstanding live document of an incredibly talented group of musicians. I wouldn't steer ya'll wrong...check it out. Oh and the production is first rate.

RICHRATH!!!!! Nobody speaks with his guitar like Gary does.
-
Now I realize that I took these concerts for granted, every week a great band rolled into town and then in a few months they would put out a new album and come again. I wish I was there again.

this band will always be my favourite, their participation in Live Aid 1985 was incredible and also for Gary Dean Richrath and with his Gibson Les Paul he is a master on guitar he beats the band Queen, REO Speedwagon πΆπΈπΆπΈπΈπ΅π΅π΅πΈπ―πΈπ₯π―π₯π―πΈπΆπΆπ΅π΅πΈπΈπ―πΈπΈ In memory of πGary Dean Richrathπ 18 October 1949 - 13 September 2015

Iβm watching this in January 2023. Brings back so many memories of better times. Damn, Gary wrote so many great riffs. Still amazed at his skill after all these years. Gary was a Les Paul master, one of the best to ever pick up and play a guitar. Itβs hard to believe that this year will be 8 years since his passing. RIP legend, you earned it. Thanks for all the joy you gave us. You are sincerely and sorely missed. There will never be another Gary Richrath!

"Tough Guys" is easily one of the best straight up Pop songs. Classic. Like a lil less than straight up Rock n Roll but more than Pop so Power Pop formula. Hook n melody just gorgeous.
-
Rewatching this concert for thousandth time, and after like you do, I had to stand up and clap.. Gary thank you...
-
Clearly REO Speedwagon is one of the greatest American rock bands of all time! Much thanks to Gary Richrath,of course!

Easily the best video on YouTube to see the great Gary Richrath's life work. So many extended closeups. A tour de force and then some. RIP Mr. Richrath.
