If a two-year-old wants to dance for some cute function, fine. But to be made to walk like some provocative cartoon character in front of a bunch of strangers, dressed in an outfit that draws attention to certain areas, while being JUDGED against other potty-training, diaper-transitioning, innocent children?? Eff that.

Jojo saying she created the new genre of “gay pop” was so fucking ignorant and disrespectful to the queer artists in the 70’s that paved the way for her.

The real villain in her life is her mom. Not Abby, not Colleen, her mom. Bleaching a 2 year olds hair, forcing her to perform, being her manager and financially supporting the family with the money a child was earning.

Jojo saying that the style of abusive teaching is how dance teaching is supposed to be…. As a dance teacher it is absolutely fking not! Do you know how many hours I spent learning the anatomy of the body, the different methods of teaching, choreographing my own projects, etc.? None of that tells me that screaming insults or depriving water from my students is good teaching.

Swoop just casually dropping in the middle of a doc that on top of being a thorough, nuanced documentarian she is also a musical & performing artist who literally built herself from the ground up .. ma'am, you're who I want to be when I grow up. :o Really hope she feels ready to return to the stage soon, without a doubt she's been greatly missed. <3

I really needed that side bar. I was recently diagnosed with Fibromialga on top of a spine injury. My whole life I was told that if I just tried harder then everything would be better. It was like chasing a rainbow, a beautiful dream that always just out of reach. It's been so hard to forgive myself for not being able to live that dream

I dont think jojo not writing “Karma” was the issue, to me it was that she LIED and said she wrote it. it would not have mattered this much if she had just said she vibed with it, instead of trying to take full credit

For Jojo to publicly admit that she was exploited as a child, it would mean that she would have to reconsider her relationship with her own mother. Seeing how close they are and how much power her mother has over Jojo's career and life in general, well, I don't see that happening any time soon. She can't even stop to process what has happened to her
