Being poor and having true family, friends is the greatest blessing and gift

The white and black folk was genuine in this video gotta love it.
  • Grow up in section 8 housing. Didn't know that until I grew up. Because I was happy.

Even though I picture better days. I’m thankful for the day I got to say Amen.
  • I'm just poor white trash from a Greensboro trailer park. This song hits hard. God bless you all its gonna get better my po' folk.

Who still leasing to this in 2024🔥🔥🔥🔥

This song makes me cry because around this time life was much simpler and everybody was more about each other

I live in Taylorsville and I remember when they filmed this. The girl who says "I just love kentucky" is Sydney Martin. I graduated with her. I saw them make this and man it's crazy how times have changed. Alot of people in this have passed now. The mechanic he stands next to is Ricky hall and he just passed last year from covid. The blue bridge they stand on is gone now. I miss the old days and I'm glad I can come here and see it still somewhat.
  • This song made me so proud to be from the country. I know this is Kentucky, but it's the same in South Carolina too. Black, White, Cherokee, Lumbee..it was all love. Mom your boys are gonna be ok
  • 2023 and I'm still loving the Humbleness/ Beauty of this song... NO CURSING, NO STUNTN.... JUST SOULFUL GOOD MUSIC...(Peace to Nappy Roots)!!💐💐✌️✌️

They should have gotten a Grammy for this song.
  • I grew up in the country in Georgia. This song and the comments really bring back great memories of me and my cousins running around in the woods, climbing trees, making forts, going fishing, throwing rocks on the gravel roads, eating whatever the seasonal fruit right off the trees, watching my granddad and my uncles field dress and smoked hogs in the fall....oh those were simpler times...the good old days. Also poor was poor, regardless of race. The poor whites and blacks seemed to have gotten along great because they had a lot in common.

My grandmother always told us “it’s not where you live, it’s how you live.”
