Texas loses power when it rains, great government. You get what you elect.
  • Just a small example of how GOP handles cris...in only 1 state. And they want to run a country?
  • A lot of people barely have money for rent or food. A generator is expensive and they are paying taxes.
  • Been without power since Monday , no hotels , no ice , gas stations price gauging and it’s extremely hot … do not move here I repeat you have been warned .! Do not move here we’re supposed to have another storm coming

Soooo it’s 105 out and people have no AC. Damn. Let alone all the flooding issues and all the other stuff. Geeze.

Centerpoint is totally useless, an embarrassment!

Houston is always under constant threat because of the weather.

The people across the street in my apartment complex haven’t had power for 4 days. This also created another problem, the garbage pickup hasn’t happened in 5 days, and this is a complex used to 3 or 4 pickups a week. And now with those people throwing out all their spoiled food, the garbage containers are piled high with no pickups in sight…

They did all that talking about how prepared they were, but somehow millions are still without power...There gonna use this to boost people's utility bill just like they use every disaster for a quicc payday...Dirty Dogs!

  • Galveston County is still without power for many of us; not just Houston. We don't have Cooling Centers; you just ROAST!!! NO resources, no help, no patience!!!

Why does this have to happen over and over again?! I was visiting in Spring about 6 or so weeks ago. With just a thunderstorm, our power was out for 36 hrs. A tree whose base soil had been loosened by the construction of new homes in the area came down and crashed onto some electrical equipment. Why aren’t construction companies held responsible for these incidents. And since this happens over and over again, why don’t the electric providers anticipate these incidents and keep extra equipment and tools on hand for rapid repairs, and a standby personnel schedule for emergencies. All power companies that cannot provide these services should not be allowed to operate in any state. The people of the Great State of Texas should not have to put up with this incompetence.

You couldn't pay me enough to live in Houston a suburb of Memphis here is bad enough 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
  • Texan Democrat here, has anyone seen Gov Abbott? Perhaps he's with Ted Cruz? Would someone please ask Governor Abbott to do his job? Thanks! 🐁🐀🐭 🦨

I'm a native Houstonian (55+), I have never experienced this type of suffering after a hurricane. 🌀 This situation is different because we had cooling center in our neighborhoods, Red Cross, and volunteers to assist with the crisis. Unfortunately, that is not the case in this situation? The power outages have interrupted those usual processes. 😢 The elderly, pets, and those with disabilities are not able to access assistance elsewhere. The sweltering heat 🥵 is really unbearable.💔 The entire recovery is a mess, and people will die as a result. 🔥

I spoke with a lot of people affected today, many are still without power, a few got it back yesterday or so, much of their food is spoiled and many of the people without power have medical devices they cant work currently. spoke to a man today who has a dialysis machine and hes had to compensate for it still currently being off. sucks that the governor was off in asia instead of requesting any kind of federal aid for his people. i hope things get better soon

This should not be a problem for the people in Texas. They don’t wanna be on the grid, they don’t want any regulation, this is what they voted for.
  • @GG-kt2uk
Texas is the closest place that compares to hell on earth. Never Texas 🥵
  • Thank God Governor Abbott is safe and comfortable in Korea!! Am I right?
