He is my cousin and we miss him.

This is a really sad story. Merlin lost his life but 2 careers died that day. Brandon was in his prime at the time as well, but never acted again after his friend's death.

Women who cry rape make me so damn mad. They ruin it for true victims out there, and this man’s life was cut short because of some girl’s petty crush. My heart breaks for his family.

What happened to Merlin is heartbreaking. We attended the same elementary school in New York City. I’ll never forget how proud everyone was of him for landing a role on the Cosby Show. He was so talented. Rest in Peace, Merlin.

This man was attractive, smart and talented. To be cut short in his prime was tragic. You told his story very well.

When you make it out of the ghetto, STAY OUT! Don't think that you can straddle both worlds and have it be OK! RIP Merlin!

When I say our own people are our worst enemies. It's absolutely disgusting what happened to this extremely talented young man. He was doing something with his life and here comes these damn crabs with nothing going for themselves taking his life. It's sickening they should all have been sentenced to life.

Merlin’s friend Brandon was never the same again. He said in an interview, that night not only took his good friend Merlin but also his joy for life as well as his love for acting. Sadly, I don’t recall seeing him on any other TV projects.

I grew up with him he was such a good actor I miss him ❤

This story always makes me feel in rage . That girl needs to be in prison for the rest of her life for what she had part In. She may not have killed him but she’s still responsible. R.I.P Merlin ❤

This story always made me sick to my stomach. Stories like this always hit different because it was just so avoidable ☹️ this man lost his life over a complete lie. On a night he wasn’t even supposed to be there. Ugh it still breaks my heart. He didn’t deserve to go out like that. I bet he would’ve been so great if he was still here 😞 the girl who put those men up to this should’ve gotten the most time if you ask me. She may not have pulled the trigger but literally none of this would’ve happened if it wasn’t for her lies. She’s just as guilty as the men who gunned him down
