  • This great man was my father, unfortunately he passed away September 2017. But his creations live on RIP DAD
  • This brilliant loving wonderful man is my Dad too! I’m the youngest of the four kids. We were blessed to have him and my Mom while living up on that “hill”. Their ingenuity and hard work gave us all we needed growing up. I miss him and mom so much. There aren’t many people like Dad that could put together stuff like this. Especially seeing how he didn’t have much formal schooling. He was self taught out of necessity and it paid off. A lot was lost that day he passed. I love you! Lisa

It's strange how some people look at a problem and think "how can I get someone to do this?" and others like Mr. Roland Cotnoir look at a problem and think "Wow, I am going to have some fun with this one!" Rest easy Mr. Roland, you left a space that is not easy to fill. I would have been honored to call you Friend.

I’m reading through all these comments. My Dad sure would be smiling big at that. He was a very unique, intelligent, hard working man. Nothing stopped him from getting a job done, including northern NH winters!
  • @coinucopia
With that setup you don’t need a radio, the sound of that Detroit on the back is all the music you need!

I imagine that his workshop in heaven is a dream factory of ingenuity. Watching this video makes me happy. Merci Roland, bien a vous! I would love to see other Cotnoir creations.

I bet that old boy found it hard to sleep when he knew it was gonna snow overnight. Like a kid a Christmas.

Listen to Roland walk across the snow. It’s cold yet he is in a sweater with no gloves. That is the epitome of a north country NHerite. RIP Roland.

RIP to Roland he and his kind are what made America great in such a short time, for a nation to go from nothing to a superpower in less than 250 years is astounding, simple things invented and reinvented here made the world a better place despite some who will knock America it's still the best country on the planet bar none.
  • @mboiko
Great video, your Dad seemed like a true American I'm sure you're very proud of him as you should be. Makes me think of my parents..both passed in Warner New Hampshire over the last 14 months, my Mom from COVID-19. My Dad was an engineer/designer on the LEM (Moon Lander) for Grumman and then later on the A-10 Warthog for Fairchild/Republic...great memories.
  • @TomofAllTrades
I really appreciate this type of engineering and fabrication.
  • @peterjung5965
My father in law is a retired farmer and had the same mindset as this gentleman. He’ll get a kick out of seeing this.
  • @curtdjames8762
Very sorry to read that he passed away. You can never learn enough from these old timers.
