Who are these kids?! Oh that’s Ashley and Jonathan 19 years ago in their first “date.” Or was it a “hang?” How did we go from two kids at a Goo Goo Dolls concert to parents of 4, full-time travelers, and homesteaders? You can ask us on this trip down memory lane.

What a small world we live in! My late husband and I moved from Texas to far northeast Tennessee in 2018, having never been there before. We ended up buying a house in Kingsport. We loved it there. But two years later, my husband was at work in Johnson City when he suddenly went into cardiac arrest and died. Thank my much for sharing your story and your lives! Such a beautiful family!
  • we were just saying you two are the best live! Your humor and the back and forth without putting each other down. Just refreshing and so comical. Keep doing you, cause your awesome. Definitely not boring.

The wonderful things your children are learning as builders, gardeners and farmers are lessons for life, no matter what happens, they have skills for life.

Been married twice, neither was my idea, neither marriage lasted. Not that I didn't try, I married each time with the intention of staying married for life. I love seeing couples who make it work. AM so happy for you both!

  • My husband worked with my Mother and was a friend while he went through his divorce. Then he was gone a few years. We ran into each other at my Mom's business, renewed the friendship. He knew them but to not spook me he said it would be great to have a friend to hang with, without the pressure of dating or sex. I felt the connection too but not as strong, so invited him to help me with my daughter's 8th birthday party tomorrow? He said yes! We saw each other every day, were engaged in 2 months, married in 6 and were married for 30 years till he passed away. His 2, my 1 and 3 more kids, 16 grandkids and 2 great grandkids later, he was the joy of my life! 💞 Appreciate every day while you can! 😉💞

I'm twice divorced, too, but I love to see people that find their soulmates and stay together. My mother says when she met my dad, she knew.

I am watching this a year after you did this video. You both just make me smile. I appreciate your journey and the love I see in both your eyes when you look at each other! My hubby & I both knew on first meeting! Still have that special feeling every time we look at each other - pushing 40 plus years now! What you guys have done is absolutely amazing. The kids are absolutely precious! (And yes…Texas gets sooo hot! Have lived lots of years cuz I married a Texas boy. Hoping to find a cooler place soon..LOL)

May GOD continually bless your union and family. You both celebrated 20 years as a couple this year and will be celebrating 20 years marriage. I'm seeing and feeling the love you have for each other. It's like you are still in the honeymoon stage. 🤗

Faucet~~it’s amazing how many things are fixed by taking apart, cleaning and putting back together.
  • I was a junior and he was a sophmore. He gave me one of the those papers that said " If you give it back you owe me a kiss, if you throw it away you owe me a kiss, if you give it to someone else..." He was tall dark and handsome and had the legs of a runner. I was a dork. We just celebrated our 42nd anniversary. At the wedding people were making bets on how long we would last. We fooled them. If you ask him when he knew I was the one, he will tell you it was when I held his hand on our first actual date to a Christmas choir concert at Bethany college with my parents, grandpa and little sister. And we still look at each other the way the two of you do. I was 20 and he was 19 on our wedding day in 1980. At the end of the day its all about choosing each other, even when you don't like each other. And it really helps to start with a best friend.
  • At 19, I came home from a party and told my mum that I met the guy I was going to marry. I didn't even know his last name!!! I tracked him down and seven years later (he was slow) we married. We have been together for thirty-four years now and have three sons. He is truly my soulmate.

Yes, love at first sight. We met & were married in 10 months. That will be 38 yrs ago this May. ❤ 25 & 28 at the time & now have 4 grown men. I would love to live off grid, especially now, but not the hubby, so I do what I can do on our little plot. I adore you guys. I'm bin-ging you right now to catch up.
  • @sherirogers2649
He proposed on the first date we married 4 months later and that was 41 yrs ago. He’s still my Prince Charming
