In this video, I explore the traditional markets in Chongqing, China, both outdoor and indoor, offering a glimpse into two distinct environments.

First, I visit an old street market located in the bustling city center of Chongqing. Established over 50 years ago, this market is essentially a long, narrow street filled with the lively atmosphere of an outdoor market. Here, you will see busy vendors, a wide variety of goods, and tempting local snacks, providing a true sense of everyday life for Chongqing residents.

Next, we move to an indoor market to experience its unique blend of vibrancy and convenience. Chongqing is the only city I've seen where large shopping malls are offered to individual small vendors. The goods sold in this indoor market are primarily fruits, vegetables, and homemade foods grown and produced by the vendors themselves—no factory-packaged items here. The advantage of indoor markets is their resilience against weather conditions.
