Lock cores that use disks are called "Disk Detainer" they use a series of disks and a metal rod to lock and unlock instead of pin tumblers.
  • I'd like to see the Lock Picking Lawyer go for this one. I am so curious to see what would happen...
  • @Bathory1
That is Finnish made Abloy. Key is Abloy Classic and the lock is probably "Abloy 3020C".

Mr. Puzzle: I'm not going to drop the pin in there! Me: He's going to drop the pin in there Mr. Puzzle: Drops the pin in there

Purse can also mean handbag and that's the shape of the lock. As people have also mentioned it's called a disk-detainer lock, a bunch of disks that each need to be rotated to the right place, when they are a side bar can fall into place,. The sidebar would be the long peice you could see going the lengh of the lock. The pin/tool you got looks like a normal key pin (from a pin tumbler lock, not from a disk detainer), so kinda cute that it's used as a tool to decode the disk detainer. Keep up the awesome work!
  • Lockpicking Lawyer, picked this lock with a plastic piece cut out from a bottle of lotion in under 45 seconds.
  • These locks are common low security padlocks in Finland. Keyprofile is called Abloy Classic. It's a disk detainer, ten disks.

Got LPL feelings while watching this: nothing on 1, 2 is binding...
  • @DashRantic
This is really cool! The solution is straight-up lockpicking (that's exactly how lockpicking works), but the attempt to puzzle-ify it is pretty neat.
  • @NachtroseSVK
Basically a discdetainer lock. You should get the discdetainer pick, that Bosnian Bill and Lockpicking Lawyer made 😀
  • @24zawisza
Give that lock puzzle to LockPickingLawyer, like you did before :)
  • @fattdamon5342
Appreciating the increased frequency of the puzzling!
  • I believe it's because this padlock is shaped like a typical woman's purse and the object is to get a key that this woman accidentally locked inside her purse. But I haven't finished the video yet to see if you deciphered the language
  • @trenter41
“ I will not push it with violence” I mean you’re not wrong in saying it that way 😂
  • @creageous
Looking forward to LPL taking on this challenge.
  • @reggiep75
At a minute in to the solution I was thinking get the key and slowly rotate and remove after getting multiple and internal barrels into place. It's definitely a lock pickers puzzle due to the need to align/position the barrels inside.
  • @Chuycabra
You've got to send that one to LockPickingLawyer!
  • @emilalmberg1096
With exactly those locks, we lock our weapons in the lockers in our military service!
