A man suspected of shooting at least five homeless men, two fatally, in Washington, D.C. and New York City has been arrested. Gerald Brevard III was taken into custody Tuesday after an intense manhunt ended in his bust at a gas station in the nation’s capital. Meanwhile, another high-profile manhunt ended Tuesday when police arrested the suspect accused of stabbing two staff members behind the reception desk at the Museum of Modern Art, allegedly over a revoked membership.

That breaks my heart to see someone harm a person so vulnerable. Just leave the person alone if you're not going to help.

Those psychos need to stay behind bars forever. They're a danger to everyone.
  • 1:12 make me burst out my tears. This brings back so many bad memories. Imagine peacefully sleeping and then waking up to someone's foot on your tummy, about to end your life. Oh,, GOD. That's just so horrible.
  • That's disgusting, straight to firing line for this thing. I was homeless for about 3 years due to an addiction which I finally beat. Now that I'm not homeless it angers me that ppl can do this.

NO NO NO you can’t blame this on mental health look at the way he’s looking around to make sure no one is there before he shot these people he knew exactly what he was doing

How sick do you have to be to kill people especially homeless people

I remember I used to see a young mother and her two young children begging for food in NYC. Seven year old me would give them my lunch on my way to school every day. I still remember the dirt all over their faces. Even as a child, it broke my heart. Not every single person is homeless due to drugs or alcohol. It can be from domestic abuse, the provider of the family passing away, or the spouse taking everything. If you don't know their past, don't make assumptions. As for the serial killer, I hope his inmates and prison guards teach him a lesson.
  • So damn sick and disgusted as they use “ mental health issue” excuses when clearly shows he looked around before killing innocent lives! He KNEW exactly what’s he’s doing!

Mental illness is not an excuse to commit crimes. Please encourage those who have mental illness to get help.
  • Lol imagine stabbing people because you aren't allowed to see a painting.
  • Wow. It's sad that so many people in the comments actually think that the homeless actually deserve to die. I guess being fortunate enough to grow up in a decent home has made them stop counting their lucky stars.
  • I know he’s your son but saying he has metal diseases doesn’t make it right. Don’t make excuses for your son
  • @cheehee808_
Nah nah, don't even try and play this as a mental health issue. Dude knew EXACTLY what he was doing killing those 5 men, even looked around to make sure no one was watching
  • that's crazy, homeless people already go through enough & for an amount of time they had to fear for their lives even more
  • @TNmike0309
Glad they caught him, this is so sad. May the victims Rest In Peace!
  • Prayers to all of us in these dark times. Have a Blessed day everyone
  • Who just targets the homeless? They’re already vulnerable enough as it is
  • These Heartless, Cold Hearted people need to be treated just like how they treat others... So Heartless the things they do to others! Would you want someone to treat you that way ?...
  • Great job police. It’s sad you only here some of the small percentage of small mistakes and bad things they do but you never hear of all the heroic stuff they do on a daily basis.

The sick, killing the vulnerable. It's just so sad and disgusting. We have got to do more for the mental health in our once great Nation.
