I Qualified For A World Championships That I Didn't Know Existed

I did this in Xterra - an off-road triathlon! I took on a 1.5km Swim, 40km Mountain Bike and a 10km Trail Run in the stunning scenery of Costa Brava.
As a cyclist with a previous 1 race worth's of triathlon experience, this is unchartered territory! Come along while I take on a new challenge.

Congratulations on your qualification for the World Champs, also what a brilliant video. Such a great team around you and obviously some very talented friends as well. This was a highly enjoyable race video, reminded me of racing tri around europe back in the late 80's and early 90's. Can't wait to see more of your race video's during the coming months. Ken

Xterra Wellington is tomorrow (Sat 24th Feb). Not entered this year as it's only a week after an Ultra Marathon attempt. Did it last year though in the bike/run section. Then again two weeks later in Rotorua. Lots of fun and hard work. :-)

I didn't even know this series was still around... I remember some ~25 years ago how big it was once Nissan came onboard and guys like Steve Larsen were racing it. It was on cable TV in the states.

In the older video when you said you got sick from an "old moldy flat" my simple American brain thought you meant a flat tire and I went in to panic mode thinking I was putting my health at risk riding tires beyond their freshness date. 🤔
