Based on the MEB platform shared with the likes of the ID5 and Enyaq Coupè, Cupra have revealed the Tavascan. An electric family car with over 350 miles and punchy performance BUT at £47,300 is there better cars in this category?

The first UK Motoring Journalist to video review the New Model 😊

Great review. I agree with Tish in that some aspects of the cars design are outdated. The overuse of haptic buttons is a turn off. The overall design of the Tavascan is attractive. The pricing structure may be a problem though. Basic items like heated seats shouldn’t be an add on.

Looks great. Cupra is starting to look like the best version of VAG options for the same underpinnings. VAG options packs drive me nuts though.

Looks much nicer than the equivalent VW

A brilliant, fair and critical review. It's great that it is distinguishable from the other cars that it is based on. This is what the Stellantis Group should be doing.
  • Thanks Tish. An informative, engaging and fair review. I hope manufacturers know that we want balanced reviews like yours. I'm not in the market for a new car atm but this video would encourage me to consider the Tavascan

Great video Tish! Sennheiser audio system you say? That should be interesting!

Looks amazing but those packs need to be included into the price! vz should have everything included for a higher price.. packs are no good sometimes you have options in different packs so its very hard to get all the tech you want in your new car so people don't bother.its a family car so give the kids heated seats cupra will sell more cars if the kids are happy

Lovely review Tish, very engaging and informative. The car looks lovely especially in that Blue with the contrasting Copper accents. The rear pillars remind me of the iX2, but work far better here (don’t like the BMW at all!). This will definitely go near the top of my list for next company car as I was already thinking about an Enyaq size EV next.

It's a great size in the boot and in the back seats nice

First review! Surprised I wasn’t bombarded with notifications, thought you jumped ahead of an embargo for a sec but surely not 😂

Tish, what a beautiful car, you wouldn't even know it's an EV.

Stunning car both inside and out. I think it looks amazing and it is my car of the year. I can not see any car kooking anywhere near as good as it.

Really well presented review.... just a thought....maybe worth experimenting with the outside vocal mic you're using... there's sibilance and treble which to my ears negatively affects the overall voice quality.

It doesn't take long to get used to the haptic controls. I never have accidental "hits" in my Born. If anything, I would prefer that some of them were a touch more sensitive.
