I came up with a idea for what happened to Luigi during all of this: Luigi, Mario’s favorite sidekick, was kicked to the sidewalk after joining in a protest under the alias “Mr. L”. While his girlfriend, Daisy was assassinated in an attempt to shatter Luigi’s hopes completely. It’s unknown where he is now but reports say that he might’ve fled to Sarasaland to avoid a similar fate to Daisy.

Fun fact, the most replayed scene is the one used in the recent Mario's Madness song. I don't blame them, pretty iconic especially with that mod.
