  • Quetiapine - you cant be depressed if you're asleep!! That was my experience on it...

I did 4 weeks of Ketamine IV (2xs a week). Those 4 weeks did more for my anxiety, depression, PTSD, than 10 years of the traditional approach of therapy and RX drugs. Plus the sides were non-existent two hours after the session. No addiction, no fiending. I cant stop recommending Ketamine IV treatments for people that experience ongoing anxiety/depression.

As I watched this video I became very emotional. I think of my friends Joe, Richie, Miranda, Hugh, Dean, Lydia and Gary. They did not make it through their depressions. They're spoken about in hushed tones because people still don't appreciate that Depression can be as terminal as heart disease and cancer. This video gives me such hope - followed a terrible sadness for those who didn't live to have the options we are now discovering. I hope in my heart that one day depression will be, if not totally eradicated, something that can have as little impact on life as the common cold.

As a Psychiatrist, I want to tell you what a wonderful public service you are doing. Keep up the fantastic work.

I took ketamine at a hospital for treatment resistant depression. It was a single dose in my belly, had instant effect on my depression, but it lasted only for a few days, but it was amazing to be completely depression-free after such a long time.

So for all the people who jumped on Matthew Perry saying that "he wasn't sober" because he was using Ketamine should educate themselves before they all pile on a man who had fought so hard to conquer his addictions. On top of battling his own addictions, he still managed to help so many other people with their own additions. He was a damn warrior and should be commended for a hard fought battle that he ultimately won. He was a hero to me. That's for darn sure.
  • One of the many things I love about you Dr Tracey is how open minded you are about potential treatments for mental health conditions. Thank you for the work you do and for releasing consistently high-quality educational videos!

Spravato has changed my life. Iā€™m hoping I benefit even more as time goes on. I no longer want to go to sleep and not wake up. I no longer want to disappear! I highly recommend it.
  • @JonDrinksWater
Ketamine saved my life. I use Joyous but support any ketimine research.
  • @h3llnite
Quetiapine - This antipsychotic is regularly used for severe insomnia. I had to take it for several years due to insomnia. Never helped with my depression at all. Just helped me sleep.

Canā€™t wait for psilocybin! One of the main reasons why Iā€™m becoming a psychiatrist. Dr. Marks, youā€™re an absolute inspiration to me šŸ’–

I had a friend do keta treatment like a year ago. It made a huge difference, altered a lot of their thinking, had a big and lasting impact.
  • @addysaw
A friend of a friend couldn't get help from any mental health clinic, so thought to take things in his own hands and did intranasal Ketamine treatment (twice a week, later only once a week) Results: improvement in symptoms in situations where his brain would fall into dread immediately. It felt like there's a "net" stopping his brain from falling into those dreadful thoughts/emotions. DURING the self-administered (carefully measured) dosage, he said the floaty feeling was not his vibe at all. He is kinda surprised, how people use this recreationally. That's just his two cents āœŒšŸ»šŸ˜

Used k for depression 20 years ago. The 3 hour period afterward is when I was able to re- organize my world view and realize how distorted my thinking was beforehand. It saved my life several times. You have a multi dimensional perspective on everything and thus can metaprogram a reality which is more beneficial. It blows away the cobwebs...

As someone who has depression and used MDMA (once used to treat depression) and ketamine recreationally, I have felt the difference in how it affects depression. The next day after using MDMA I felt so depressed but ketamine I felt slightly happier than the day before taking the drug. I live in the UK though so weā€™re leaps and bounds behind you when it comes to drugs and mental health

I get a Ketamine Infusion every 6 weeks for the past Year. I have to sign up for 1d inpatient and off-label use here (IĀ“m not from USA). 2019 FDA approval of Nose Spray really was a game changer for depression Treatments in EU! I got my first infusions back then in 2019, but the dosis was pretty unkown. So we experamenting with a 3x lower dose than IĀ“m getting today. It didnĀ“t worked out for me the way it does today. IĀ“m very happy that itĀ“s possible now to get rid of the heavy depression symptoms! For me 1 infusion last for 4 weeks and then it slowly come back. But letĀ“s say about 1 week of depression and then 3 days of recovery from infusion is totally worth the ~90% very good time I have! Before my docs and me tried Ketamine I was on 50+ different pills (of course not at the same time, but up to 8 different a day) and now IĀ“m at 0 pills since a month. IĀ“m very excited for future, because Depression (and the medication) will be normal in the future!

Wow. Great information. My mother suffered with drug resistant depression and chose to self medicate, leading to her death. I do hope there is further fda research leading approval and insurance approval. This may be life-saving. ā¤ā¤ā¤
