He never said he was in a war zone, he said he carried a weapon in a war which he did during Operation Enduring Freedom. Vance never carried a weapon in the 6 months he was in Iraq.

When veterans denigrate the honorable service of other veterans, everyone loses. The simple fact is that if you're on this side of the dirt, there's always someone else who has given more than you. I'm proud to have two VP candidates who both served.

This reporting leaves out that he along with his entire unit received a "warning order" that they were going to be called up for Iraq at which point Walz decided to retire even though he had two more years on his enlistment

Walz was deployed in Italy as part of Operation Enduring Freedom, where I'm sure he was issued a weapon. A weapon he didn't want to see on the streets. He never said he saw combat. I get why you're salty, but no. You didn't see combat either. You were a Corespondent.
