On January 6, 2012, I went over to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to shoot some airplanes. I got one Qantas Airbus A380 landing (Qantas flight QF11 from Sydney) and another A380 taking off. The one I labeled as Qantas flight QF107 to New York is probably incorrect. It is more likely that it was a flight to Australia, but it may have been unpublished on the Qantas website that day. Anyway, it was interesting to see two A380s at the airport at once.

I seriously love the design aspect on Qantas' A380. Their designs just nailed it. Love all the red and that logo there

Been on the Qantas A380, second last row, economy, unlimited lemonade. :)
  • You can really put into perspective the size of the A380 when you see the Delta Connection (Embraer?) going in front of it. Absolutely magnificent.

I love the T1i, it has such beautiful and accurate video-for not being a camcord. Really love it's video qualities. Thanks for this video, enjoyed watching it...I enjoy watching anything like this, especially at LA and involving Qantas!

I've never flown on Qantas, but I flew V Australia on a trip to New Zealand this last December and they were awesome. The flights from LAX->SYD and BNE->LAX were really good. I would definitely fly with them again.

Great video and wonderful plane. I'm happy i had that good chance to fly by A380 twice. That was with Lufthansa. Still love 747's too.
  • Great footage! I flew in a QF A380 from Melbourne to LAX back in August and it was a great flight.

The A380 is indeed an impressive aircraft but no other plane in history has the majesty of the 747 in flight or at take-off into a sunset or anytime.

Qantas use A380s on two routes from Australia to Los Angeles. 1: Qantas flight 93 which flies non stop from Melbourne to LA. 2:๏ปฟ Qantas flight 11 which flies non stop from Sydney to LA. The Melbourne flight arrives around an hour earlier than the Qantas 11 from Sydney. Hope that helps.

this is exactly what I was posting about Greg........I posted of my own LONG experience when me and my family moved to Western Australia as a kid. I was 10. Then we moved back to the states when I was 12 and I recall really being full of dread of the LONG flight. Australia is a LONG way from the states.......but what memories I have of those years!!!
