100% best Generater.Systems I have used. A test for hurricane prep here in Louisiana: three AC units, 5000, 5000 & 8000, 3 fridges, 2 device power setups, 4 flat screens....AND I had 40% of the power meter to spare.
  • We use the same model on our fire department rescue truck. It has a large halogen Lamp attached to it and we can deploy it within seconds to illuminate an accident scene, its light weight ,100% reliable and quiet

The voltage drop on startup is do to the long thin extension cord. Plug the A/C directly into the generator to eliminate the cord's deficiency. If it works well, then try using a heavy extension like 12 gauge at 50' or 10 gauge at 100', (the longer the cord is, the larger it needs to be).

For good economy on long run times, choose the smallest gen you think will suit your needs. My little 40cc propane 700 watt works just fine. I don't even use the 98cc Honda 2000 any more.

We have used the youtube.com/post/UgkxOTeIs0vv4_9B5hsmnLsk9r930uDQL… for probably 30 hours with our camper and it’s been great! The noise level is really only noticeable when running the AC and other appliances like the microwave, hair dryer, or coffee pot. It’s not huge like other ones and it has wheels so even at 90lbs, I can move it!

Supposed to set it to max rpm before plugging in high loads.

since the 2000 watt generator from yamaha is only a couple hundred dollars more and not a hell of a lot bigger if youre right at its limit with the AC it makes a lot more sense to buy the 2000watt genny and use the reserve to power other things as well.

shorten up the extension cord. A lot of voltage drops right there. you do not need 100 ft. extension cord. What gauge is your ext. cord? hope12/2
  • I took my end piece out of the muffler. it plugs up and blows the engine. other than that I run my cabin and get 17 hrs of use on 2.3ltrs of regular gas.

How is the Generator noise? My Gentrax 800w generator is too noisy.. i regret buying it. Gentrax generators can be used anywhere near human.

You have alot of parasitic loses in that extension cord. With a generator and a heavy load like that, you should be running a 12 AWG no longer then 50 '. Running that same setup all day, you'll could start popping the fuse.

recently purchased a Yamaha 1000 watt generator. Would not run smooth as the Honda we have at work. Dealer fired up another new one only to prove that this year they are all the same. After a fair bit of discussion they returned my money. The generator was only a week old and never used other than to listen to how it ran. Moral of the story is buy red not blue.

is this one the same as the ef900is one? it's a Japanese version
  • @damianfzj80
AC works or not work?  I recently bought this also have a generator and airconditioning of the same capacity but only works for me in the minimum level when the compressor starts in the generator gives me error

Is this a two or four cycle engine? Thanks
