Peter Parker can't seem to catch any kind of break. Being Spider-Man has brought him nothing but problems as far as his personal life is concerned. Not only that, Mary Jane Watson is engaged to astronaut John Jameson, and Peter may lose her forever. Things are so bad for him that he is pushed past his breaking point, so he decides that he doesn't want to be a super hero anymore, until a freak accident transforms Dr. Otto Octavius into Dr. Octopus, a super-villain with four metal tentacles protruding from his torso. Peter realizes that only Spider-Man can stop him but, of course, problems arise. Mary Jane gets caught in the middle, and Harry Osborn, who still blames the web-slinger for the death of his father Norman Osborn, also the Green Goblin, wants him dead. Spider-Man will have to push himself past his limits if he's going to survive.

  • "He's just a kid, no older than my son" Those lines hits hard when all of the people in the train though Spider Man was someone trained professional with powers instead of just an average hustilng pizza boy
  • These movies felt like the 90s Spiderman animated series brought to life. Perfect companions to watch together.

Man , its not only about nostalgia , compare this fight with tom and even andrew's fight , tobey fights are the best, no long talks , no gimmicks , no childish pranks , only top tier actions . For me , tobey spider and cap 2 winter soldier are the best movies of marvel .

Spider-Man 2 still one of the best superhero movies ever made

A couple of notable moments in this fight: 1:35 where the movie doesn't show you what Spider-Man is reacting to until he's already reacted to it. It gives the viewer impression that Spider-Man can react to things quickly even though any normal person would have seen that coming from far away. Then 10 seconds later at 1:45 where he slips through the openings on the bridge and we see the bridge coming, which gives the viewer time to see what he needs to react to so they can fully appreciate the maneuver he uses. Then at 2:09 within just a couple seconds, Doc Ock notices the oncoming train , Spider-Man doesn't at first because hes facing away but then does and reacts quickly once again. And again, all of this happens too quickly for the viewer to fully register everything until it's already happened. Everything is happening in real-time, no slow-mo effects once theyre on the train. They were able to show just how smart and fast both the hero and the villain can respond to their reflexes and think on their feet. And all while keeping the fight in real-time without confusing the viewer.

This wasn’t CGI, Tobey Maguire actually stopped a train and they just happened to have the cameras rolling. Sam Raimi ended up loving the footage so much he used it in the final film.

Going back as an adult and watching tobeys movies make me realize his version of spider man was way more brutal than the others. Bro was fighting to kill 😂

This whole interaction between Spider-Man and New York from 06:00 on, is just so wholesome and pure. ❤
  • @Sah-navaz
Looks more realistic than current Spiderman movies

Best popular superhero fight on YouTube!!!!😊😊😊😊
  • Scenes like this show why Spider-Man is holding back in almost every fight. And it also shows why he should win just about every fight.
  • @T.H.U.G
forgot how incredible this scene was
  • Easily the best spider man fight but I’d say one of the best action sequences in cinema history.
  • @Youngdanny45

I always love color grading in old movies, lots of subtle dark. not like modern movies who always high contrasts, neat and clean like virgin
