My Kenworth with CAT 3408 hauling steel water pipes northbound out of Lyndhurst, South Australia.
Some cab shots in the Pilbara, Western Australia.
A 35,000 tonne iron ore train coming up the grade out of Yandi, WA with 5 x 4,400 HP GE locos.

Video cameras are Sony AX53 and GoPro Hero 7 Black. There was some vibration at the end with the GoPro because it was mounted on a long extension, won’t be using the extension again.

Cheers from OKC. I grew up in a bobtail dumptruck beside my Dad in my early years. My job wasn't to keep dad awake. My job was to wake him if the front tire was too near the line. lol I was 5 in 1959. Things were different then. lol A good way for a Father to raise his son. You guy's are lite yrs from me & Pop. He would love to see this . Thanks for taking us for a ride Really enjoyed it. Camels & all. job wasn't to keep dad awake

You have got an awesome job. I drove trucks through Europe from 1990 to 2000. The amount of traffic in Europe is ridicolous. Now I am an roofer on the island Aruba but I would still come overthere anytime when I got the chance. Thanks for the vid.
  • I'd just like to say that I'm a fan of your truck . A guy in Rockhampton had a bird scarer in a pre 1980 model for a long time. Unless he updated he repowered with Big 4cycle..alloys ..polished B double trailers and a lot of klms. He sadly passed on the job far from home. Doing what he knew. Older model outfits can sure last well cared for and one owner driver . Cheers mate

  • Greetings from the USA. Thanks for not turning down the CB.👍🍻
  • I new a bloke and worked with him over the years that owned a Cabover Kenworth with 3408 Caterpillar who sadly passed away a number of years ago now up in Home Hill Queensland, he was a driver and then a subcontractor for Twinro Freight (Noel Griffin and Bernie Brady) which later became known as Taranto/Twinro and altermately Refrigerated Roadways, his name was Barry Densley, one of the Greatest mile makers I have ever worked with in my life. We had two regular contractors running out of Kwikasair Express, Coode Road, West Melbourne both Cabovers both 3408 Caterpillars in the 1980's. I cannot tell you how much I would love to relive those days again !!! Top Video old mate 👍😎👍 I've been subscribed to your channel for some time now and really enjoy watching these, looking forward to watching many more.👍 PS: What year/model is that truck ???

That's got to be a 3408, would recognise that sound anywhere. Those and the early 3406's best CAT ever made. 👍
