  • I think "frustrating" is one of the most accurate descriptions of Jon Jones on so many levels
  • @sonny061188
I felt bad for Rampage in this fight. Similarly to Shogun there were moments in this fight where Rampage didn’t know what to do because nothing was working and looked frozen.
  • Jon's timing is not brought up enough. He had the great ability to throw his strikes just before his opponents would. Like he'd pick up on their tells and throw just a second before they would and get them to freeze and eventually feel stuck not knowing what to do
  • Rampage was his own worst enemy. Instead of learning to defend the kick he just sooked and acted like you cant break peoples arms and legs
  • Notice that Jon criticized Rampage for focusing too much on playing video games instead of training and many years later, ahead of his debut at HW against Cyril Gane, he also criticized him from focusing too much on playing video games

Rampage- raises his hand to to Callen's eyes. Callen- "Fuck that"

5:23 i felt the pain of that check through the screen 😬
  • I truly feel sorry for anyone who has to fight Jones, That man is a beast.
  • The main issue is rampage was so boxing/brawl oriented that he was always fairly predictable throughout his career
  • @gm-ns1996mg4p
Jones said he was afraid of rampage before the fight because he was too scary and he still beat him in a very dominant way. on the other hand, Rampage said that he fought with Jones in the best way.physical form and made no excuses saying that he was injured, assumed Jones' brilliance and acknowledged his defeat

I love how Martial puts a replay on shots that rampage was complaining about that landed cleanly and legally. Specifically kicks and elbows. Rampage is just bitter cus he got his ass whooped.
  • @ButtaMOB510
Rampage been going around talking about Jon spinning elbows landing on the back of the head, well looked like it landed right on his forehead. I remember he kept calling Jon a kid leading up to this fight. Loved Rampage but he got abused in this fight. That's what Jon did to most fighters, by the 3rd or 4th round they just didn't want to be in there anymore. No he doesn't have knock out power but I bet most of his opponents rather get knocked out in the first round than abused for 5.
  • Jones has rampage, smith type fights or Reyes type fights, no inbetween.

2:06 is a tactical move to scare the opponent. Like a scorption crawling towards you to attack. Notice rampage backing away ! Jon is elite .
