18:40 Klatt finding a way to sneak in his iconic Hampton by Hilton sponsor segment was fantastic🤣
  • @brandond2233
Thank you Joel Klatt for saying Penix should’ve won the heisman. Best QB play came from him this year
  • @JeffHennore
Brethren, we're going to lose Klatt in a couple of weeks once the season is over 🥺This time of the year is rough!
  • @kollieswurve6355
That Harbaugh story was dope. We love Macdonald in Baltimore. We want him here for a long time but he will probably be a head coach after this season
  • @mrhoneycutter
Glad they’re giving Washington & Penix his due, their team has been great all year and he’s playing absolutely lights out. Also I’m 100% with Klatt that this year really showed a need for an expanded 8-team playoff. On a side note, that quote “bye bye, everyone has a funeral” was a fire by Colin.

Klatt highlighted college football’s biggest strength so well, its tribalism that’s rooted in either going to a school or living in the same town as one your whole life, and how that’s something so emotional that’s intrinsically tied to your identity as a person. Sure the NFL is a better sports product, but it’s almost sanitized to the point of boredom (that and the insatiable corporate greed leaves a sour taste). If a team wins by 10 in the NFL it’s seen as a dominant win, whereas in college, it’s so volatile (because it’s played by 20 year olds) that in any game a 10 point lead is not a safe cushion in the slightest and that’s what makes the sport so exciting and heart wrenching. It’s the heart-on-sleeve, immature and a bit sloppy garage band compared to the NFL’s clinical, precise and calculated pop hit. Both are enjoyable but for very different reasons.

The way Klatt breaks down Penix is insane, mid way thru his description I was like wow this is next level analysis. He’s easily Colin’s best segment. And I get college football tribalism but the thing that will always hurt that is that I don’t have to have went to a certain college to be a die hard fan of the Seahawks or 49ers etc. in college If I didn’t go to Michigan, Ohio state, Bama, etc then I more than likely will not care

Michigan’s (Ravens style) defense was tenacious with 10 plays for loss. Many of those were big yardage losses! The Wolverines D was the difference in this game ultimately. The way DE Stewart (#5) blew up the last offensive play of the game by Bama with a pancake of Bama’s right guard (who Milroe tripped over) was awesome! And the last drive to tie the game by Michigan reminds me of Tom Brady. JJ is becoming that guy who can get you a score and a win at crunch time like Brady! Huge Rose Bowl win!
  • @jamminjohn211
As a 49er fan, watching the Michigan miscues reminded me of the 2011 NFC Championship Game where Kyle Williams muffed the ball twice on punts. Jim’s teams play with the most heart I’ve ever seen a coach get out of players, but mistakes happen at the worst moments

The Rose Bowl for whatever reason has thee best games hands down. Should be the finale every season moving forward.
  • I’m an Aussie. I was enthralled. Love, love college ball in all sports, hyper young kids going at it, all day and twice on Sundays
  • Colin and Joel are always hilarious we need a podcast with these 2 sadly we will never get it
  • @BrettKollmann
Klatt’s Hampton plug is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen on this segment lmao
  • @KidLatin27
hey Michigan y'all were dominant and better than we were all season i mean that game was just awesome and legendary to watch along with Texas vs Washington so y'all go ahead and celebrate like crazy and you guys definitely deserve it and don't worry about that game Alabama fans we had a great year anyway and im not even mad that we lost to Michigan 27-20 sure it's definitely disappointing but still it is what it is so yeah and Michigan fans i know it's been a while since y'all won the championship so go ahead and enjoy it and I'll definitely be rooting for you guys in the championship game against Washington next Monday night roll tide and go blue.😊🎉.

Is there anything sweeter than knowing that no matter who wins, it won't be an SEC team? So happy I could cry.
