TRUE CRIME: A heroin dealer killed by Australia's most notorious cop | 60 Minutes Australia

2024-01-21に共有
In this 1981 story, Sallie-Anne Huckstepp detailed how her partner and heroin dealer Warren Lanfranchi was shot dead in a Sydney laneway. In the investigation into his death, notorious detective Roger Rogerson faced scrutiny for his actions, but insisted it was self-defence.

Huckstepp pursued the case in the media, saying Lanfranchi was intentionally killed. Years later in 1986, Huckstepp's body was found, and her death remains unsolved.

I was a teenager when she did this interview and we knew she was signing her death warrant by speaking out. Such a strong and brave woman, her courage was to be commended. RIP Sallie-Anne.
  • @RothieMay
See article about this brave lady entitled: "Sallie-Anne Huckstepp knew her time was limited after speaking out about Roger Rogerson" . RIP Sallie-Anne. Thank you for remembering her 60 minutes.
  • What a sad shame. She was a strikingly beautiful woman and very brave. RIP
  • @jojj1258
Incredibly brave and selfless lady to highlight the corruption in which she would have to pay with her life. RIP
  • @fangpili
She was credible and told the absolute truth
  • This took an incredible amount of bravery and courage to out what she did. She signed her own death warrant by giving this interview. The cost of fighting corruption is paid in blood. Rest In Sweetest Peace, SallieAnne🕊️
  • She was found dead floating in a pond not long after this interview.
  • @claudettea
Poor woman. I bet you the NSW Police Force never put her in witness protection.
  • @Anna.Mason151
She was street smart and still was murdered after this interview. Her beauty was timeless. Corruption is timeless too it seems. What else was this woman supposed to do to protect herself and unborn child. The police investigating police 👎🏼 who trusts that process?
  • @wirelessdirk
I dunno how to say this with more tact, but she doesnt strike me as being what she was. Its a shame how she ended up, she seemed very intelligent, even classy. It was a tragedy.
  • Why didn't the higher up government put her in protection program.very sweet pretty young woman ❤❤❤ this 💩🤧 goes on everywhere always has still does.
  • Now Roger is in jail for murder, why hasn’t this case been reopened and/or a commission into corruption in the police force?!
  • @nschlaak
USA here, So I noticed that she or someone in close proximity to her is smoking on the set. The video quality, hair styles, and clothing lets me know that this isn't a current news story. I've read the comments and the replies so I understand that this was a tragedy that is being run again since someone involved with this just recently died.

Well Rodger the dodger just met his maker and i bet than convo didn't go well Rodger was never charged with the murder of her boyfriend It was her 1st husband that pushed Sallie into prostitution for his heroin habit and it was Warren that got her away from the 1st husband Sallie Anne was beautiful intelligent and articulate but never stood a chance She was in way too deep to change her lifestyle At least her speaking out eventually started the Wood Commision and took down many a corupt cop My best friends cousin was killed in the Brisbane Whisky a go go fire
  • Rest In Peace Sallie-Anne Huckstepp 🙏 She was not JUST beautiful but an anchor of stability, calm and intellectual insight for all those without a voice. She said: "When the police become judge, jury and executioner, then someone has to speak. Someone has to come forward. Someone has to start somewhere and stop this. Everybody, NO MATTER WHO..." and the "reporter/journalist" who is not paying attention to what she is saying, replies: "It's a nice statement, but SOMEONE could still say: "'HERE'S A LADY who's pregnant, HERE'S A LADY who's pregnant." A DRUG ADDICT, HERE'S A LADY who was or is a prostitute, she just got shot, she's very bitter and she's about to spill a bucket on everyone." This "man" must not have liked Sallie-Anne's democratic, universal and famous words: NO MATTER WHO. He believes himself to be more superior than her and believes that there is a difference between a corrupt police officer who must remain a lawman and a prostitute who is less than nothing! DISGUSTING!
