The panel includes Emran Mian, director general at Digital Technologies and Telecoms, Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT), Robyn Scott, co-founder and CEO of Apolitical, and Guy Williams, head of UK defense at Palantir Technologies.
The group discusses the latest in the Middle East where Iran sent more than 300 drones, ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, aimed straight at Israel and according to sources, 99% of them were shot out of the sky before they hit the ground.
They also talk about how future technologies and AI will improve government by connecting countries together to work together to solve problems and to ensure that they understand the science of AI before implementing it. Robyn goes as far to say that in the future, people in Europe want to have AI control the government instead of a human being.
Finally, Alan poses the question to the panel of what would AI do if it was in charge of government. Guy suggests that it will simplify and explain things to citizens and help break down elitism that a lot of people experience in their interactions with government.
