I’m a friend of Bill W. The 12 steps comprise an approach that many adults, even without a drug addiction, could also adapt to their lives.

Utter desperation is the key that opens the door for recovery. Even after years and millions of recovered alcoholic n addicts, Bill's understanding of our Higher Power's Grace working in AA and The 12 steps still rebounds as loud today as it did back then!!

bill talking without self, a beautiful thing this is, the story of the beginning of aa, without the trappings of ego, his biggest shortcoming as self admitted in other talks, the 12 steps as he wrote, but never fully took himself, are so beautifully described here, as they were brought to him by the good doctor, and a couple of good friends from the oxford group. all of what you seek to rid yourself of is at your disposal, if only we can be the great man bill was in those few days (without the undermentioned belladonna that was probably the cause of his white light moment). Thank god for this succession of events that have gotten millions ridden of this obsession of mind, and most inexplicably, the physical craving that plagues us all. This is the Great Fact for us, that is only available due to a Matter of Grace.
