In the grace before the fight with the guy riding the boar, you can turn to the right and use the emote "oh mother" in front of the statue, gives you access to a whole new area. You can find that gesture north of the bonny village, near a tree with a marika statue

Its funny how people thought Malenia simply gave up the search for Miquella (not knowing about Mogh) and stood by the Haligtree waiting/hoping for him to eventually come back and then in the DLC you learn that she knew the plan all along. She knew where Miquella was and what he was doing there, and she helped with the plan as much as she could on her side, then waited for him to succeed and come back as a god.
