Quick Tip for everyone who wants to seamlessly integrate a hardware synthesiser into their digital setup. Basically use it comfortably as a master keyboard and „almost“ as comfortable as a plug-in at the same time! If you grew up with hardware synths you probably know this, but pretty much all people getting their first hardware synth stumble over this problem.

Behringer on top of their game, they didn't have to do this video, they're just nice people :-) Already knew about this but great tips for newbies.

Ich habe deine Arduino und Synthesizer Videos auf deinem Kanal schon sehr gemocht, schön dich jetzt hier wieder zu sehen.
  • Dude, that was an EXCELLENT and informative tip. Thank you. I have had issues recording into Logic, but did not have it hooked up correctly.

Nice to see götz working for behringer. I learned alot from him some years ago about diy midi conttollers. And now posting a very good solution video!! 👍

Ah didn't know what the local setting does. I got some other synths and got the same problem but finally I understand how to fix this issue. Thanks!

Dude!!!! Beers on me if you ever get to SA(Texas) My treat. I just spent yesterday smashing on synths and clicking everything off and even put back my smaller interface without effects and still couldn't find where that damn echoey weak metal reverb sound was coming from. Even reset up all of my external instruments in Ableton. Damn man. Wow. I had alot of those bleep moments , while trying to control my anger as I live next to an elementary school. Literally. I'm old to messing with gear but still new I guess to integrating it to laptop. Last time I attempted making industrial electronic music I was using a tascam. Which by my surprise, may be ideal lol with cassettes making a crazy return. Well anyway my brother from another. Thanks man. Bad ass and hats off to you. Just recently got a pro 1 so now on to synthesis 101. ;) Keep up the great work and damn the pro 1 is a beast . (Just got sound )

I love that the DeepMind has Wi-Fi. I can use the editor over Wi-Fi so the USB connection is available for use with the DAW as usual. Also, Program/Bank Change messages are your friend. In most DAWs, you can select what Bank and Program should be used on each MIDI track, so you don't have to remember which patch you used in which project. As soon as you load the project, the synth automatically switches to the correct patch. I hope more future Behringer synths will come with patch memories, it makes life so much easier in a DAW-centric setup.
  • Great tips! It's fun watching this video that uses a deepmind while my own deepmind is in front of me on the desk lol. Thanks for the video!

Always note the patch number and name from your hardware synth in the track name and/or audio file. If you ever come back to session and want to overdub something new a few days/weeks later it'll save a lot of grief... especially if your synth can hold dozens of patches. SysEx dumps are helpful too... but that's a much longer discussion.

Thanks very much, i think with out destroying the forum space, i would think this could be a good way to go solving user involvement and experience, so people can watch a quick video on problem solving a lot easier. What i mean is having more How To Do, videos for your products.
