Am hype, and am guessing why they chose City Escape is because that's what they got, since not only they need Permissions from SEGA, they also need Paramount Permissions for these movie events, and since there is a possibility of a city in the show (probably near the end), and City Escape is the closest, they chose City Escape, yet again this is just a guess on why they chose it

I hope they make some dialogue in the update its been a while since the NPC'S have been talking to us WHILE doing the event it felt way more fun when they had dialogue in their events😢

Finally a normal city. Also when you said "How does this slide with the movies?" It's probably because of 3 reasons. 1. Sonic 1 was set in San Francisco, they are both Cities. 2. City Escape is 100% going to be in Sonic 3 3. To coincide with Grind Shoe Sonic & The adventure gang.
