  • Thank you thank you thank you so much...must try before going to the repair shop to change the whole charging port... You need a thin needle, good light and patience to clean that hard layer of dust.... Once again thank you so much❤

and this kids, is why you always ask the internet first

WoW, I was about to send my phone back to the shop for repair. This trick saved my phone. thanks.

I thought my cables were too cheap that it easily loose. I bought expensive ones and still not work. Finally found this omg!
  • For the last 2 years the cable has been falling out of my phone when I'm driving. can't believe I've left it this long before even investigating why! This sorted it out in 5 minutes, cheers mate!
  • @FredGrabara
I had a sewing kit. I used a needle to break up the chunks, then that little threading tool to fish out the remainder. Worked like a charm! Thanks!
  • @fungalnest
I thought I had bent my port, turns out a tiny piece of rubber got jammed. This video saved me a lot of time and effort. Thank you.

One thing. BROOOOOO THIS WORKEDDD!!!!!!!!! THANKS A LOT. have a great life. This saved me about 1k USD as I was going to buy an iPhone just because of this charge port problem.
  • @Braaains1978
This totally works with sewing needles if you are incredibly careful. I cleaned the audio jack this way a couple of years ago and didn't think to do it on the micro-USB port on my phone until watching your video. Cheers!
  • Brilliant. I was barely managing to charge my smartphone. Just cleaned out my phone USB socket with a safety pin after seeing your video...full of micro biscuit crumbs! Used an air duster to blast the bits out too. Now the plug sits in almost like new. Thank you to you and your brother for this video :-)
  • @nated4949
Holy crap... this actually fixed my phone! I can’t believe how much dust and lint came out of that little port. Thanks!
  • @robinsmith560
This helped, not perfect but not as lose and does charge better now, thanks... my friends phone we tried canned air and that worked too!
  • @magnumsteel9770
Thank you so much for this. Just did this on my phone and got so much dust out of it. Didn't realise that was the issue. Now it charges no problems and even charges faster! Thanks a mil

Holy crap, you just fixed my phone! Thank you so much! I bought a wireless charger a while back because I thought the port was properly broken, now I can connect it properly again! Took a bit of probing around with the sewing needle, but I realised that if you run the needle around the central connector it should feel smooth but it was hitting something - two minutes later and after applying a little more pressure than I would normally have been comfortable with (hey, it wasn't working anyway, right?), I fished out two lumps of combined dust and tissue paper that looked bigger than anything I would have thought could fit in there! Thanks again 😊
  • @NR-cq6uu
Yes thank you. I never thought of it. Then I pulled out like 5 to 6 decent size dust bunnies and now the charger plug stays on! Amazing.
  • Thanks a lot, really helped and my USB cable sits firmly to the port now and rapid charging too is working now. Such a simple neat trick. Once again thanks a ton mate!!
  • @coolhappyblue
Thank you. At first I ignored this video, even though it was near the top of my Google search results -- I thought the advice was too simple (my phone stopped charging suddenly, so I was sure it was the port circuit). But other websites said the same thing. So I cleaned the port with a needle at first, then a craft model knife - my phone's charging now.
  • @aaron5809
Wow, I was so surprised how good that worked. I already thought about repairing the port which would be annoying as hell. You really underestimate how much dust builds up in that port. It took me around 15 - 20 minutes to pull out all dust but it was so worth it! I used a vacuum with a smaller tip to remove everything I could not get with the needle.
  • @rogerpalmer5891
Absolutely brilliant. Thank you. Just fixed my phone and it works perfectly. After months of frustration and replacing the charging cable, I thought that I was going to need to get the port repaired....but cleaning out the huge amount of fluff with a pin fixed it.
  • @gohanblack2973
I thought it will not work, but it did a great job. Thanks
