Underground Stone Shelter, Hiding from the Blizzard and Cold

Hello everyone!
In this video, you will see how I hid in an underground stone shelter of an abandoned village deep in the forest during a snowstorm and freezing cold. I will show you how I took advantage of the current situation and turned an icy stone bunker into a comfortable and warm shelter in which it is possible to stay for a long time. I learned about the village from the elders a few years ago, but I never visited it until last summer, when I spent a night in a cave located very close to the abandoned houses and took a video. That day I did some research around the village and found a beautiful stone shelter in good condition. The idea immediately dawned on me that I must spend at least one winter night here. That's why I brought fresh straw to the shelter during the summer months in case I had to take shelter immediately from an unexpected situation. I woke up that winter morning and there was a blizzard, that's what I was waiting for, ideal weather for a new challenge. Knowing what awaited me in the village, I prepared simple hand tools such as a knife, hammer, pliers, sheet metal shears, some wire and a few nails. I packed food and water for the dog and myself, put my backpack on my shoulders and headed into the forest. The shelter didn't need much work, so I made a very efficient stove out of tin scrap that I found in abandoned and dilapidated houses, which kept me warm during the long and cold winter night. You will also see a quick and easy army bed improvisation I made from a tent wing.
I spent the night with the candles burning, the fire crackling in my stove and the wind howling with the snow blizzard. My dog Lajka and I record another exciting and interesting adventure.

Thanks for watching, I hope you like it.

I'm a 67 year old woman in Louisiana, building a food forest around my 192 square foot cabin. Your videos are my go-to entertainment. I could watch them for hours. Thank you for the gift.
  • I am disabled in my back and neck, so I live vicariously through your videos. Thanks for the distraction. It's wonderful!
  • @Elder-Sage
No music, no talking, just a boy and his dog. <3
  • This one was like watching a survival video game or movie. A man and his dog building a shelter from the decayed ruins of civilization. Great stuff!
  • I spent more than 30 years working as an underground miner ,There is a calmness from being underground
  • I come across this video by accident. I watched it from start to finish and what a joy it was to watch. It's superb to see sheer talent beating modern technology. Well done and the best of luck in the future from the UK 👏
  • I loved this video! It's so different from most videos built with tarps, sticks, etc. I'm a 70 yr old woman, but I love the bush crafting videos! My husband thinks I'm crazy, but I love them. This video has been one of my favorites.
  • I’m so impressed with your ingenuity! You made a cozy place to shelter in from the storm for you and your faithful dog❤️👏👏👏👏👏
  • Yay! A new video! Thank You Luxon for telling me what day to look for you ;). I have a new man in my life. He built a structure from cement in the woods in Lebanon. He sent me a picture and I thought of you. Kisses to my Lajka. I need to send him a big huge steak bone. Oh, Luxon. I have thought about the survivalist lifestyle a lot. I think about what I would have with me if I were in your shoes. I only see one thing that you lack in all of your builds, that might come in handy. That thing is Duct tape!!! lol I can't say enough how much respect I have for you. You built Lajka a bed of her own!!!!! Your wife is a very lucky woman. Any man who takes care of animals like that is perfect IMO.
  • Dogs feel safe with someone of competence and compassion. Lajka follows you easily and is content. You obviously know how to stay safe, warm and fed, Bravo. Your videos are calming, informative and highly entertaining, Thank You .

  • Aww! I like how she goes outside in the morning and chews on a stick or a bush like, 'Look, I can help too! I can help!'
  • I can see myself and husband living there permanently, and being very content . Thank you for sharing and enhancing our imaginations .
