Feel free to ask me questions that weren't answered in this video! (Keep in mind I only played a limited bit of the game though)

Honestly dude, huge congrats on getting approached my capcom to make this video. Im sure this is a massive milestone for you, and seeing this channel grow is amazing.
  • Monster Hunters Stories is the best thing that has happened to MH simply because it gave us the fanfic-goldmine that are Monster Riders
  • The day this was announced, I was considering dusting off my 3DS to replay the first game. I was so hyped when the remaster was announced! Even on the 3DS, seeing a pink Rathian in the forest of cherry blossoms was jaw-dropping.

As someone whose first introduction to the series as a whole was through Stories1 on the 3DS, prior to my first mainline entry with 4U. Seeing the original entry, one I have a huge fondness and nostalgia for, of this amazing spin-off series now more accessible than ever to a wider audience.. alongside its stellar sequel, has gotta be one of the coolest feelings I’ve had in awhile! Really looking forward to replaying this gem of a game on Switch this summer! (I should also mention how big of a deal it is that we FINALLY got the Japanese Exclusive Content translated for worldwide, which was a fairly stacked amount of content the 3DS/IOS versions over here never had for their postgame.)

Monster Hunter Stories is a hidden gem, and a remaster is exactly what it needed. It’s one of my favorite games, and I’m personally happy that I can share my love for this game with my sibling, similarly to what I did with the sequel. And from the lackluster reception of the first game, it hit me in the feels when we got a second one. I almost cried when they announced Stories 2, and I think I did cry when they announced the remaster. I also purchased the art book for Stories 2, which does include some concept art for the first game we never saw. I’m very glad you are enjoying the game so far, I hope you go deeper in your review. Stories was my introduction into the MH world, and though I’m not good at the mainline games, I do have a deep appreciation for the series

One thing I wish both Stories games did is using the actual theme of a specific monsters. It felt odd to fight a Rajang, Brachydios, and Mizutsune while not hearing their unique theme music. In Stories 2, only Velkhana and Fatalis get to use their music themes.

I missed the element changing system SO much in stories 2, you can technically do it, but it’s borderline impossible and nothing about the monster changes. In stories 1 not only would the monsters color change but the kinship skill would get an elemental effect to match. Watching Seregios dive bomb with dragon energy or Silver Rathalos Nuke the area with Ice was amazing to watch and experiment with

Guess who gets to have the prequel to one of their favorite games ever release exactly on their birthday?

Dude this was such a treat of a video. I was never into playing the mainline Monster Hunter games, so when the first MH Stories game was introduced to 3DS, I was immediately in awe. So, when I got the game in my hands and played it from start to finish, I fell in love with this game so much that I still play my original 3DS copy and now having up to 134+ hours. Like, this was the only 3DS game that has this many hours so it makes sense that I became obsessed. Then years went by. The announcement of MH Stories 2: Wings of Ruin was introduced and it made me absolutely just lose it all together just because I get to play my favorite game's sequel on a Switch, though it took 3 years finally to complete the main story because personal life took over and had to shelve it for a moment. But when the remaster announcement was given, I got determined to finish MH Stories 2 before I start to play the original when it comes out. And I did. Now with the glorious 109+ hours poured in while finishing the game, I can now happily just wait to play the original game that gave me so much of comfort when I needed it the most. It's good to be a Rider ❤

I’m lucky enough to have a copy of MHST on the 3ds, as a birthday present, and it actually took me a couple years to play it but lemme say I LOVE THIS GAME SO MUCH HOLY CRAP-
  • @coopyrbrown3031
Listen, I love the second game, but the lack of the element change mechanic is really what kept me from loving it nearly as much as the first. It really helped the monsters feel genuinely unique

I wish I knew how to model things digitally to that level but man there's is just soooo much to learn. I admire your creations!
  • @grebgrimpkit
Stories was my first monster hunter game and I owe monster hunter stories for most of the things that happened to me in my life I'm excited
  • I wish stories 2 kept the color change on monsties! That’s what made the first one so good too!
  • @calalyoko
Literally one of my favorite games ever, I put hundreds of hours in the 3ds version. Stories 2 is a fantastic game, but the charm of the first one still gets me lol
