💫 ‼️ I Start Hiking the Camino de Santiago Inglés Route Tomorrow‼️💫

KATE! I’m Anna! I met you outside the Cathedral today in Santiago. I was so “star-struck” to actually meet you in person. I just completed 803 km on Camino del Norte starting in San Sebastián. Based on the people I met in Santiago that talked about walking the Camino Ingles there were lovely Irish, UK, Portuguese and German pilgrims. You’ll meet the best people! Like I said when I got to meet you, you encouraged and inspired me so much. I can’t thank you enough. To casually meet you in person this afternoon absolutely blew my mind. My favorite meal along the Galician coast was shrimp sautéed in butter with at least 5 cloves of diced garlic. I felt sorry for my alburge family after that meal because I must have smelled so strongly of garlic. Worth IT!!!

Can’t wait to hear the stories from this Camino. Buen Camino!!! 😁

Buen Camino. Do eat some tortilla in Betanzos. Also, check out the Inglesia de San Francisco while you're in Betanzos, too. You'll have an interesting time on the Inglés and will meet nice people for sure.

Woohoo, Katie! Where did you get that fancy bed? They didn't have those in the Hotel Silva. The old flour mill, is right up at the top end of the creek, before coming down the promenade. Where to eat, i couldnt tell you. I ate picnics for the first three days. Enjoy Dan

We, too, look forward to your journey. A short day 1 is a positive. Record everything. There is little good vlogging of the English Camino. Enjoy your time alone or with the community. You will find the right mix.

🌻Buen Camino! 🌻I am planning to hike that same Camino Ingles with my son (he will be 16 next year) next spring or summer or autumn 2024. Its wise to start slowly not so many km for the first days. Enjoy your Camino trip!
