My couch got delivered two weeks late and I used my REI chair as my gaming chair. That should say everything. It was comfortable for hours with no complaints.

I use ping pong balls to keep it from sinking in the dirt. They weigh nearly nothing and they work surprisingly well.

Hello Justin I've been watching your videos for a few months, recently more often and I just wanted to thank you for your time to make them and how technically and well explained your reviews are, Thanks to you I have spent a lot of money hahahahaha, but I am very happy because everything I buy is well thought out and of high quality, functional and above all ultralight, thanks again for your advice, I just bought the Polar Ranger thermarest a pleasure... Greetings and have a good day

Great comparison as always. I'll definitely go the original at some point. In the interim I've got a cheap stool. It weighs about the same and sets up in 2 seconds. Great for taking a quick break on during a hike.

I have a Hillsound BTR stool that I use for Bikepacking. I find that the chairs are too low and I have difficulty getting out of them after a long day in the saddle. My stool pops open easily and can be used anywhere, anytime, without any effort. It is a great way to take a break. I rarely ever use it at camp. I use it for working on my bike trailside, for Photography when the tripod is set to a lower height, and of course, as a place to sit down whenever I need it. The stool is lightweight @3 g. or 14.1 oz. and easily fits into the frame bag of my bicycle. This great Canadian product is both affordable and ultralight! Time for a review?
  • Ultralight chair vs ultralight hammock... the hammock wins everytime in my books! Nothing beats relaxing in a hammock at the end of a long hike 😀

Had the chair zero for a few years…love it. Just went to the high-back chair and it’s amazing! 6’1” and 220, wanted something with a little better support on my back. So much more comfortable to me.

I purchased a Chair Zero. Thought it was the answer to my camp comfort but found out I was wrong. It sinks in the Florida soil. The ground sheet for it is nice but does not help that much. The seat height stinks to put it politely. All the time I had been using the best thing ( for Me ) all along , my hammock. I like it because the hammock is at normal chair height all the time. My grandson is enjoying the chair , he's 10.

I have a eureka model with a high back. It’s awesome (although heavier). I can lean my whole head back onto the chair back. Hubs has a helinox knockoff. We don’t hike very far though, under 10 km, so it’s not a big deal to have a heavier pack

Thanks for the tip on the Hilltop Sacks. I bought one of them. I also bought the Helinox 45mm rubber balls that comes with a ballsack. :)
  • Hi Justin, I'm looking for the Mica pants and I would like to know how much it weighs? Its not on there web site THanks Mike

“Like my emotional intelligence, my core is getting stronger but my back still needs support” 😆 luv it …I could say the same about myself.

I'm pretty sure the Hilltop Packs stuffsack for the chair isn't actually waterproof in either the DTRS75 Ecopak or Dyneema versions; they are "weather resistant". HP says bag isn't taped. Also, I don't think the leg orientation is actually what is patented, considering you only have to look at Big Agnes, GCI Outdoor, ALPS Mountaineering, Nemo, etc all have the same leg orientation. Pretty sure the patent has more to do with the hub system.

When in sand or soft dirt I try to put the chair over a small log so it doesn’t sink in. The ground sheet seems to defeat the purpose of getting such a light chair. You say the pack size is a downside but are there other chairs that pack smaller? Or is that just in comparison to not bringing it? I bring it out to the forest when I take my Kindergarteners and they are always amazed by it 🤣. I think I need a waterproof bag for it!!
  • It seems that weekend hikers typically aren’t as ultralight focused as thru hikers, nor are they gone for weeks at a time, so having a helinox chair or Nemo moonlite is a no brainer. Remember the days when thru hikers used to carry 50 pound packs? What a privilege to debate over ounces!
  • @kpj5
Out on mine today .. so comfortable.. best ever chair apart from my camp fire holes 😅
  • @zinger2967
I have the Helinox Chair One as I like that it’s higher up from the ground. I think it was worth the extra weight for me personally. Also Go Oilers!!!
  • I would add a few more burn holes to lower the weight. Think of the weight savings! Lol
