    S24 :- I have s-pen and galaxy AI A05 :- I have a headphone jack 🗿
  • Yeah, right... I miss Nokia 3310.... No email, no WhatsApp, no nothing, just call and text, and "snake"...

What I feel like is flagships are reaching a point of diminishing returns, and I feel like most improvements are not exactly too important, and mostly the product page is filled with gimmicks that not everyone will need. But budget phones do still have a point of not great enough, like the A05 still has a 720p display which isn't great, where an 200-300$ will offer great improvements. So the best price range to get a smartphone for me would be an 250-500$ phone.
  • For around $100 more, you can get the A25 5G which has a 120Hz Super AMOLED display, 128-256GB storage which is more than enough for most people, 6-8GB of RAM (depends on what storage option you choose), A HEADPHONE JACK, pretty decent cameras, a 5000mAH battery which should last you a day or two, a fingerprint reader. I mean what more could you ask for? It literally has the same features, if not, more features than a flagship, and it’s 10x cheaper. Yes it might not feel premium, but I prefer plastic over anything else when it comes to durability.

damn this got me thinking: how can a phone be so expensive? it's really turned into a luxury piece
  • @sexkiro
Today I learned that micro sd card prices are REALLY low. 512gb for 30 bucks was the thing that surprised me the most in the video.
  • @aidan8583
honestly phones have reached a point where there are almost no improvements to be made for the average user
  • @viffer94
Spot on when you said most people would be better off with neither of these phones but something in between. The market for both of these phones should be small. A friend of mine once said he can’t buy expensive designer sunglasses because he would just end up sitting on them or losing them or breaking them or having them stolen all the time. For someone like that maybe replacing a $100 phone every few months might make a lot of sense. Not everyone needs to do professional video editing or play the latest and greatest video games on their phones.

This comparison is ridiculous in so many ways, but damn, I never would've noticed that they're like the same size
  • @RubenNeves22
This is what i like about Samsung there is a little of something for everyone from 100€ to 1000€, different people, different tastes and needs, you don't see apple doing this 😅, this is the beauty of android, alot of options
  • @orion1983uk
I found this comparison fun more than anything. I'm currently onto my 4th Samsung S series phone (S23 Ultra currently), however back in late 2021, I bought an A03s shortly after watching the review you did on it, to act as a backup phone (I got it ridiculously cheap). Two and half years later, Samsung have so far delivered on all their promises on the A03s - it got two Android updates (started at 11 and now on 13), and continues to get general updates. So it's looking good for 4 years of support. Hopefully that's a good sign for anyone thinking about the A05 / A05s.
  • @nicoctane1669
If Samsung would kept the Micro SD I would've kept getting the flagships..
  • @Radu_-ro6fp
The a05 is definetly impressive for its price, but I would say the a15 5g is more worth it, at 50$ extra (or at least in my country) you get 5g (obviously), an super AMOLED, visibily better processing, looks even closer to a flagship, NFC and more, many specs that could definetly increase the phones overall usability in the following years, in my opinion it is a better deal overall
  • @mchenrynick
8:17 I've always used budget phones, and the one thing I always do is disable and/or quicken animations in developer mode. It makes it feel snappier and makes the lag to switch screens much faster.
  • @ibtehaj95
I have an S8 that I bought 2nd hand. I've had it for 5 years now but I've never used it on any mode other than "medium power saving", so, yeah, never took advantage of all that processing power or the QHD display. It just looks nice and feels nice.
  • @QuackZack
Best option: Past 2-3 year flagship phone. Phones depreciate in value rapidly and a big chunk of that depreciation happens within the first year and a half of the smartphone's release. I would rather pick up the S21 ultra and pair a S pen to it or a Note 20 Ultra. Both are still amazing phones and in the used market only goes for around $300-350 USD. A quarter of the S24U's price. In my opinion there's no reason to go cream of the crop unless $1299 compared to $349 means nothing to your wallet. If that's the case, burn that cash away.
  • @KRawatXP2003
I feel like A3x or A5x smartphone should be enough for 90% of tasks and day to day usage.
  • @mrchipsmlbb
Fun fact, when you play the music we will hear what our speakers provide...very different..

One thing to keep in mind when judging audio: You're listening to a recording of a youtube video on your phone through whatever audio device you have. Audio is especially hard to judge in a video like this
