Museum Curator Found With 1,500 Scorpions in Luggage: Report

A curator for a world-renowned museum was detained by authorities in Turkey on suspicion of smuggling poisonous arachnids out of the country. Lorenzo Prendini is a curator at the Museum of Natural History in New York. Reports say he was caught at an airport in Istanbul with plastic tubes and bags containing about 1,500 dead scorpions, tarantulas and spiders that are endemic to the country.
