What you will learn as an adult, is if you drive in snow that is 3 feet deep, and you slide off the hard packed trail, you will frame you vehicle. And it won't matter how much you rock it, it won't come out because your tires won't have enough traction because the weight of your vehicle is sitting on the hard packed snow. :)

Hmm what do you know about snow and ice? When you get so deep into ice. . you can't dig. It was fun though! We had a good laugh!

@sirtubemaster It was beautiful and it was a beautiful day! We had fun, even though we got stuck. Still a good time!
  • @00000anand
wow - i never experience snow in my life, looks like so much fun!

Actually if you look, even at first. . it was framed. You know how when the snow makes big drifts, and the drifts aren't hard packed underneath. . that is what we fell into heheh. It sure was a fun day though! I love it out there. I didn't mind being stuck.

OH yeah! They do perform well. I just slid off the packed snow and framed it. It was still a fun day!

Sometime's it just happens. As long as you had fun and what not then is does not matter. :) Keep Jeepin!

@krich106 Problem was, we sank in the drift. It wouldn't have mattered what we did at that point, the frame was sitting on the snow. It sure was fun though!
  • Yep apparently I'm doing a Snow Dogs Vlog marathon today starting at the beginning. So far I liked them all I believe.
  • @JohnOTron

@usmccubsfan Dude, for one I am not a Dude. :P Two have you ever driven in snow? Okay now assuming you have, what happens when you are on the backroads, in 3 feet of snow, and you go off the trail into the drifts? Exactly! I framed it on the hard packed snow. It was entirely my fault. It was a blast though! It's such a beautiful view out there! It was worth it, and we had a good time!

4x4 w limited slip differential Is a far cry from AWD. Carry a flat snow shovel, emergency chains would be advisable too. Nice help!

A Jeep XJ is actually less capable than the WJ in snow. In a Jeep XJ, you only have to lose traction with two wheels, one front and one on the rear (diagonally facing) and that would be enough to get you stuck. (unless you have front & rear locking diffs) The risk of encountering this scenario in snow is very high. The WJ has an awesome traction control system which makes it very very capable in snow. What they really needed was decent tyres and/or snow chains.

What i learned as a kid. As soon as you start spinnin in the snow, and stop. You throw it in reverse. Rock it out. If you cant move either way, you dont keep spinnin the tires and diggin in...

@sheacock88 The Dodge didn't slide off into the drifted snow. I slid off into the drifted snow.
