Elkmont Ghost Town - Part 1 - Abandoned Town - Great Smoky Mountains National Park

Learning about how all of this came to be, as found here today, is a vital factor in truly appreciating and understanding the remains of the historic cabins and mountain-folk that once called this area home. A truly remarkable piece of history that set the early bar for tourism to the Great Smoky Mountains National Parks.
Only miles from downtown Gatlinburg, not too far at all from Pigeon Forge, Wears Valley, Townsend, or just about any of the central vacationing hot spots in Eastern Tennessee. Let us share its history with you and show you first-hand our exploration from this abandoned ghost town that was partly preserved but mostly demolished later in time by the National Parks.
A ghost town, abandoned cottages, the stone remains of cabin homes, a mystical troll bridge, and a whole lot more is in store during this one.
Come learn all about this area in the next episode of Quest Capsule:

I have thoroughly enjoyed binging your vlogs. They are so peaceful, informative and positive. You need to be picked up by someone and have your own road show documentaries. You and Sarah keep it real.

Really enjoyed watching the video. We have explored Daisy Town and sat in those rockers to get a sense of what was once a thriving vacation spot. Am so glad there is restoring of cabins going on. Looking forward to exploring the other section of Elkmont after I watch your second part. Thank you for posting!
