Newcomers to the series include Michelle Pfeiffer as Queen Ingrith, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Ed Skrein, Robert Lindsay and Harris Dickinson as Prince Phillip. They join returning cast members Sam Riley as Diaval; Imelda Staunton as the pixie Knotgrass; Juno Temple as the pixie Thistlewit; Lesley Manville as the pixie Flittle.
The film is directed by Joachim Rønning from a story by Linda Woolverton and a screenplay by Linda Woolverton and Micah Fitzerman-Blue & Noah Harpster. The film is produced by Joe Roth, Angelina Jolie and Duncan Henderson with Matt Smith, Jeff Kirschenbaum and Michael Vieira serving as executive producers.

Synopsis: Maleficent and her goddaughter Aurora begin to question the complex family ties that bind them as they are pulled in different directions by impending nuptials, unexpected allies, and dark new forces at play.

Sam says that Diaval and Maleficent are parents to Aurora. It’s canon, guys, the only thing we need now is the two being in a visible relationship and kiss in Maleficent 3(if it ever comes to that point).

the way angelina talks abt her character is like sort of story abt her real life, where she looks like a strong, evil like creature but in the inside she's soft bcoz of her goddaughter, just like her real life where she's a fighter and stronger bcoz of her children and like she said, family is just not made by blood, where i think its abt her adopted kids, i just thinks what she said like connected to her real life, just my opinion, 👌🏻
