    Being blunt: surely if you got fat then that is down to your diet. By not doing the download week every fourth week you did not follow the programme properly, therefore you did not do the programme so your review is not really about the 5 3 1 programme as it is written.

    ive been on the 5/3/1 for about 6 months now. I'm pretty much at the point that if my last set is 5 reps, even if i wanted to, i would struggle to get anymore out anyway :)

    So thats what youve been up to? Yeah man. Stick to the original 5/3/1. Ive been doing Borin But Big for 8 Months and Im still not bored! ha! needless to say, I have had a couple of Deload months, but its all about 2 steps forward, 1 step back as they say. I love the high that you get from hitting a PB too. I had 5 in one week last month. No other routine compares!

  • Not really a great advert for the programme. Boring but small may be more apt sadly :-(
