Sights and sounds from the magnificent 70th birthday party staged by The Routemaster Association in July 2024, marking the introduction of RM1, the prototype Routemaster, in 1954. Held on the site of the former London Transport Chiswick Works, now Chiswick Park, Routemasters of all types and colours demonstrated the popularity of the marque 70 years on.

    The RM 70 event was a good day out but not all the types were there, most yes. There is the story of RM's during LT's development and operation and what became of them after they left LT. This was a better venue than Finsbury Park.
