The Azteca Stadium has to be the most amazing stadium I've ever seen in my life.

Qué bonito se ve el Azteca sin esas horrendas zonas VIP
  • This is why i love the Mexican people, their passion and support for the kids in this 2011 World Cup was just nothing short of amazing. 105.000 in the stands?? And these are U17 boys, nonetheless the fans crowded the stadium to root and support their youth. Some other crazy soccer nations only show support the men's national team is on the pitch. 8 years later I'm still amazed to seeing a stadium filled up to its capacity to see a U17 National team playing..way to go,Mexico!!

The lack of inability of Mexico to translate their success to the senior team shows that they need better coaching and changes internally with the federation. You win the 2005, 2011 U-17 World Cups, the 2012 Olympics and finish 3rd in the 2011 U20 World Cup and all you can do is constantly make the Round of 16 at World Cups and lose 7-0 to Chile in Copa America??? The only thing the senior team can win is the Gold Cup.

Aztec’s should host the 2026 World Cup final! Such a historic stadium and an amazing atmosphere. Hand egg stadiums in US don’t deserve to host a World Cup final
  • Just hearing the celebration in this video... Gave me chills.. Hearing all the Mexican Fans chearing.. I go for Mexico.. Seeing Mexico left a World Cup makes me happy

This was a great U-17 World Cup. And to this day I am still so proud of the effort given in each game by Uruguay! They represented us good and played each game as if it were the final, like it should be. We destroyed Brazil in the semi-finals, but in the end Mexico were the much deserving champions. It's not easy for a group of teens to play in a stadium like the Azteca with 104,000 fans cheering for the home team, lol. It was Mexico's tournament to take and they won it fair and square. So even though it's 3 years later, congratulations Mexico. And "Arriba Uruguay!"

Felicidaades hermanos mexicanos desde Ecuador...esta es la garra mexicana!
  • Not a single player from this Mexico squad currently play for the national team. The best player of the tournament, Julio Gomez, currently plays in the second tier of Mexico.
