What are your favourite and least favourite Godzilla designs? Let me know!
  • Godzilla Minus One definitely looks much smaller than Shin and Legendary. I'm glad they stopped trying to one-up his size like they have over the past couple films.
  • @YodaOnABender
Zilla’s design isn’t actually that bad, it just doesn’t work as Godzilla. I think it could absolutely work as a Godzilla subspecies though
  • @sleepycroc6748
What do you mean Godzilla's D-tier? And holy crap Godzilla being A-tier is just unbelivable.
  • @chris-zilla2113
24:00 Just a correction: Godzilla GMK was not fueled by the angry spirits of deceased Japanese soldiers, but rather the angry and vengeful spirits from victims killed by the Japanese imperial army during ww2. So really the spirits would be from areas like China, the Philippines, Korea ect... This was commentary on how the Japanese government had not taken any accountability for Japans massacres and war crimes, and instead had chosen to deny or ignore anything to do with it. Instead the government wants to forget about its actions during ww2 and sweep it under the rug. Thats why Godzilla had such a hatred and lust for revenge against Japan in this movie.

Shin is what actually got me into Godzilla. You feel a sadness for him knowing he’s in constant pain and is quite literally screaming in pain. It’s a horrible life but knowing what he BECOMES which is literally omnipotent I just can’t stress enough how cool this Godzilla is, regardless of some minor design flaws but I think that’s on purpose. He’s not supposed to be like… Comfortable. He’s a constantly evolving pain stricken being that is just trying to die, survive, or both. I think he’s supposed to look stiff and disproportionate because he’s constantly changing and he’s still in his infancy. Sorry for the rant I just love Shin. ❤ You’re obviously welcome to your own opinions.

I'll still never get over how badass that one design from the canceled 1994 Godzilla movie is. It looked like the perfect rendition of what a American Godzilla would look like.
  • @A7-13.
I love the shin Godzilla design the way he slowly evolve into this terrifying combination
  • @AlmyTheAlien
I don't know if this counts exactly, but for me Legendary goji's sound design alone clinches him a top A ranking. The roar is immediately recognizable as Godzilla's while still sounding more "realistic" and organic, and that atomic breath chargeup sound instantly burned itself into my head.
  • @rudedolphin
Mushroom-Cloud head Godzilla was so peculiar and I loved it
  • @pikachuyip1478
35:13 So that last part Chibi Godzilla image into G Tier made me laugh. But that one is from Toho’s YouTube series Godzilla Chibi and they having a Season 2 on April 10th.

"the krillin of the godzilla universe" You know, sometimes one hears something so SPOT ON, that there is no going back.... This was one.
  • @tronus961
32:45 Fun fact, The 2019 design was actually made bulkier than the 2014 design, rather than made slimmer. 33:06 The Evolved design was made VERY skinny, with the stomach pulled back, thinner legs, a thin and shorter tail, but the arms were incredibly bulked and the neck had also gone thicker
  • @madedgar
Oh heck yeah, this is just what the doctor ordered for a Saturday night
  • @osmanyousif7849
Glad you gave a shout out to some of the suit/mo-cap actors, who had probably the biggest challenge when playing the character.
  • @IndominusGojira
My favorite Godzilla suit is KiryuGoji, My favorite things about the suit are the canine-like face and sleek design, I also love how expressive the suit is and he especially looks great in the comics.
  • @SKM_D34D
i love how calming and therapeutic ur voice is
  • Ain’t no way Steve just put The Series, Final Wars, and 2014 designs in C Tier 💀💀💀
  • As a huge Evangelion and Godzilla fan i can't help but adore the Shin design, not only because it looks intimidating and goes back to the roots as it name states, but also because of the tragedy surrounding its painful and aggressive evolution. Shin Goji looks like so much more than a giant monster; it looks like an otherworldly threat: a Lovecraftian-like entity that the main characters struggle to understand, and, according to Hideaki Anno, that was the path its evolution would eventually take.
